Parked next to this B-25 Mitchell on the ramp in Madison last week. She’s the “Champaign Gal”. She was there for an air show and is currently getting some TLC on the right engine.
We did a night hunt in Texas a few years ago using suppressed 7.62x.39’s. Heck of a lot of fun. I know that round worked fine. Ranchers were very appreciative of reducing hogs.
I’ve got a 2016 with the 5.0 and 6 speed transmission. Currently sitting at 242k miles. Had to replace the transmission at 175k. Other than regular maintenance that’s been it. Here’s a couple of pics I took when she rolled over 237k a few weeks ago.
So sad, RIP BigTanker. They say a mark of a man is how he's thought of after he's gone. Based on this thread -we lost a really good one way to young. Wishing him no speed limits or weight stations in heaven.
I have the same one, it'll smoke them out to 40. I've cleared out the chipmunks from the backyard. I got mine at Pyramyd Air a few years ago. Took it on a bear hunt in Idaho and we knocked down about 50 chipmunks one day from the bait tent. Shots were 10 to about 45 yards. Heck've a day!
Did a night hunt in Texas once. It was a crazy good time. Suppressed AR's with Thermals. The ranchers were happy for us to take a many as we could shoot.
Thank you for the write up, really well done.
My son works part-time for an auction company after his classes. He said most auction companies would come out an give you an estimate/idea of potential value if they had an auction. This might be a decent starting point. Good luck and best wishes for a tough situation.
Don't hunt public land anymore, but when I did it was a Mossberg 500 20 gauge with rifled slugs. I was lucky enough to take several nice deer using this combination.
Now it's a 6.5 Creedmoor or a .50 cal. muzzleloader.
If it's an INGO member, I've probably looked up their history to get a feel for who I'm dealing with -I'd expect them to do the same about me. I usually try to meet 1/2 way to be fair. I'll pick a public place with traffic during the day. I did do one sale in South Bend at the Police...

Family visit to Lake Malone Ky. Had some rain showers on way down. Flight pic is from 8,500 feet. Rain was off to one side of me but never hit the ground.
Took Mrs. Wildcatfan pistol shooting yesterday. The first time she’s ever held a pistol was on Saturday evening when we went through safety and how the pistols worked. We used snap caps in the 9’s and in the revolver she was going to shoot for her to get a feel of the weight, trigger pulls and...
It’s a .22 cal Crosman Nitro Piston Venom. It came with the scope as a package. I picked it up a few years ago from Pyramid Air. It’s good out to about 40 yards for me.
Such a nice night I decided to set up a quick target at 20 yards. Nothing like a little trigger time.
Stay safe.
Such a nice night decided to set up a little 20 yard target in the backyard. Nothing like a little trigger time.
Stay safe.
Congrats and great pic. Treasure those days. Thanks for sharing. Currently shoot a Crossman Nitro Piston in .22 cal. Good out to about 40 yards. Want to get a PCP sometime right now I'll live vicariously through others.
Love being able to shoot in the backyard and freak out the...
