      I think it would be tough to operate a gun shop with all of the big box stores cutting the guts out of prices. Rural King has Ruger SR22's for sale for $299.00. That is almost wholesale price. You cant compete with that. A benefit a gun shop is after sales service and friendly customer service...

      Possible Silly Question

      I have a used Remington 1100 coming my way. I believe it has a 28" vent rib barrel (I bought it used on the fly so I'm not sure). I'm looking for an 18" barrel. Why can't I just saw the 28" barrel down to 18.5" and remove the vent rib.

      I think they are cheaply made revolvers. I've refinished a few of the years and I am not impressed. Personally I wouldn't own one. I'd spend the extra money and go for a Smith.
