      I don't understand mag dumps

I just watched a video of a guy that evaluated a AR 15 versus a M1A on the basis of how accurately he could shoot them while doing a mag dump at 20 yards. I can understand a controlled pair or even three for each rifle. I don't understand the need to empty your magazine into the body of just...

Revolver's are still a valid SD tool.

They have many attributes. They can be very effective. Easy to top off. Nothing gets ejected which could effect it's reliability. I like revolvers.

      WTS: Early 1990's S&W 586

4 inch barrel, .357 Magnum. Mild, reliable trigger job. I've owned since new. I never recorded rounds fired. But mostly fired .357 Magnum out of it. Other than trigger smoothing, it's just like it left the factory. I should have the box. NE Indiana. Will travel to meet. $850.00

      WTS: 1909 Argentine Mauser 30.06

No, this is not a 7.65 Argentine Mauser rechambered In 30.06. it is a 7.62 barrel bore. A few years ago, Wilson made a run of military contour 30.06 short chambered for the Mauser action. I bought the last two. Wilson will do it again if they get a minimum order of 100. I hope they do... The...

      The mini14 is NOT a downsized M14

Probably just marketing strategy because it is obviously an upgunned M1 Carbine. Look at the gas system. Op-rod. Even the bolt hold open. None have any similarity to the M14. But they are all similar to the M1 Carbine. Even the intended range is similar. I am old enough to have owned at least...
