      Learning to Weld

Thanks for the input. I had some Gas and Stick weld classes in High School, 40 years ago. Bought a ~$500 PrimeWeld MIG/Stick not long ago. lot of good YouTube videos to get started, and that is my plan for learning MIG flux core. : ) After learning about the training I was curious as to what...

      Learning to Weld

I recently saw an article on the WBIW website about Welding training. It's through Wagler Education. I called and it's usually free to someone without a college education. $3k if you don't qualify for the no-cost option. They have an agreement with (??) that those that earn certification are...

      Indiana Caves

BlueSprings is a pretty short tour. If you are driving any distance you will likely want to find other things to do. Visit Spring Mill State Park.. Donaldson cave is not large, but kinda neat to visit. For the size, length of the tours and variety of formations I like Marengo. And it's not all...

      Buying prescription glasses online

I've had good experiences with 39DollarGlasses. I had a 1+yr old frame break, I called to ask if I could buy just the frame and they sent a replacement free of change. I used glassesusa one time and had no problems. I tend to select the seller based on the frame style and size availability.

      Recommendation for a sound bar

Picked up a JBL 2.1 soundbar with wireless woofer about a year and a half ago. Very happy with it. Much improved sound over the build-in speakers. Sound effects don't overpower dialog in movies, dialog is clear. Only 3 presets for bass level, but works out ok...

anyone use alum on canker sores?

I used to get canker sores quite often. Someone suggested that drinking sweet acidophilus milk might help. It did, so I started taking an acidophilus supplement daily and have not had a sore in a very long time. For someone that gets them frequently, it might be worth trying.

      Indianapolis Flock security camera opinions

Would a plexiglas-like cover lit by IR LEDs from the top/bottom or sides result in an ir glow strong enough to obfuscate the plate from the cameras?

      Why the hate for Cyclists?

Do I remember reading here that bicyclists are/should-be considered the equivalent of all motor vehicles with the same "rights" to traffic lanes, and following the same rules of the road as other traffic? Indiana Code Title 9. Motor Vehicles § 9-21-5-7 Current as of June 08, 2021 |...

Where the **** do we go?

My brother is currently in Texas. He says that they don't want to retire there due to the high property taxes. Once retired and on a limited income one would still be paying those high taxes, with the expectation that property taxes would likely continue to increase?! I have not looked into it...

      Keep it Classy, Indy

I thought that I read that the justification for the Flock Cameras on every 3rd intersection was to find and track stolen vehicles? Am I correct in thinking that the cameras are aimed at oncoming traffic as much as they are at the rear of the near lane they are mounted adjacent to? I'm guessing...
