Who carries a 1911 and how?

My full size Kimber rides in a Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC everyday. Covers with a t-shirt, and rides nice. Never had a problem with it moving when riding my motorcycle or any walking or moving around. I have a Galco Fletch, which is nice, but I usually go for the MTAC first. Ride the hammer forward...

I stopped by and talked to Jeremy tonight - and he still has a few spots open if anyone is interested.

      Being a 4-H Instructor

I'm the coordinator for LaPorte county. We're just getting going after about a year of planning. We just had a rifle shoot last night, and it was flat-out awesome. To see kids excited about something that is not a video game, while being polite and respectful is something you just don't see...

      Laporte County 4-H Shooting Sports

I am the coordinator for Laporte County’s Shooting Sports program. For the last 12 years there has been an active and successful Archery program, and this year we are adding Rifle and Shotgun programs. The continuing focus of the program will be teaching youth to safely use archery equipment and...

Michigan City Rifle Club - Pistol Divisions

Michigan City Rifle Club hosts several pistol shoots that are open to the public. The most active group is the IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) group. The Club also will be starting a PPC (Police Pistol Competition) group that will start shooting in March. You do not need to be...

Son got pulled over by Spencer Sheriff

Did the cop ask for the pistol, or did your son surrender it voluntarily? The couple times I've gotten pulled over, I've handed out my licence and permit before being asked, and its never been an issue.

I want to go live in a garden shed (In a van down by the river!)

Check with the local building department to see at what size you need to have a permit. I built an 8x10 shed in my back yard to use as an office - full power, air conditioning and heat. Almost all of the materials came in one well-stacked pickup load. If I weren't married, I could live in the...

      THIS IS HOW I CARRY

When I carry its a fullsize 1911 in a Minotaur MTAC Holster. I'm thinking about trying a Kholster Full Moon, which is a bit cheaper. I've also used a Galco Fletch, while more comfortable, doesn't feel quite as secure as IWB carry and your pretty much open carrying. More important than the...

Going to Ohio today - gonna have to disarm

I keep a locking case (Seahorse SX-520 - Extreme Waterproof Case) with a locked cable thru the handle and arround a support in my trunk. I would imagine it would work attached around a seat support in the back of an suv to keep averyone happy. If I'm venturing anywhere thats not pistol friendly...

Michigan City, Indiana : Online City Hall : Washington Park Zoo Seems like they need to post it at the gate, eh? If there was ever a zoo that shouldn't turn anyone away Washington park is it. Seems almost everywhere in MC is no carry.

      NWIN Gun Shops

There are a few other shops here in NW Indiana. Usually the first one I'll check, or send my wife to check is Maple City Sports in Laporte. They've always cut her good deals below*list price. Theres Laporte Sporting Goods a block up the street, but I've never had much luck there. Over in...

OC Gun and Wallet same side?

Pick up a good slim wallet from ALL-ETT Billfolds and carry it in a front pocket. In the car I usually slip it in one of my shirt pockets. It's a great wallet, and makes it easier to fill the pockets with other junk.
