      My M&P FS 9mm would go into battery when I would throw a magazine in. I didn't like it, as none of my other guns have ever done that. Cost me a procedural on an IDPA stage once due to RO not believing the gun did that. I can see that if you are used to that, it could be tough to get used to...

      I can't add anything about the price, but this is the first I heard of Abilene- I will have to see what I can learn about them. I think its a beautiful gun, and if its well made I think that's always a good price to pay for a .44.

      I bought a two tone Walther P99 in .40, about a week after I turned 21. Loved the gun, hated the caliber. That gun is long gone, but I do have a Walther PPQ 5", now.

      I have been using 231/ HP38 for a while, but am nearly out. I have given up on getting more. I have started using Winchester WSF lately with good results. You can get a bit more velocity at lower pressures. I think I may like it more for 9mm than the 231, although the 231 is really versatile...

      I kinda thought this would happen before long. I was able to order 2 M&P 9mm 17 rounders from midway yesterday for 35 each. So the gun is 425+70=495 + shipping and transfer- not even a good deal for the gun, if you can get the mags.
