      Trying to love the .380 for EDC

      I sometimes carry a Beretta 84 FS just because I like the gun. Caliber and capacity are secondary to me, but not everyone feels that way.

      Usually 9mm or .45 acp. I will carry a .40 at times, same with .380 or .38 special. I live 3/4 of a mile from Crawford County, but get along with the people pretty well. I just offer them a chew and a Mountain Dew. I think their female judges are the ones to avoid.

      Not to nit pick, but if you were on 145 crossing Patoka Lake, you were probably in Orange or Crawford County. Anyway, good story!

      Orleans gun show

      I attended the last one. Going to the Farmer's Market in Orleans Sat. morning, so I may stop by. Connie's is okay for breakfast, I stop there every so often. I've had worse, but service may be a bit slow if they are busy. Yeah, I've had little luck with the Mitchell fast food places.

      I like guns, and I have a few that I like to carry. They all work relatively the same way, so I'll probably be okay. I am very familiar with all of them. If not.......... To each their own.

      I had the same problem with my Rami 14 rounders. Replaced the springs with ones made for a full size mag to correct it.

      Are Glocks my favorite gun? Nope. But they work, and carrying one makes me feel just as well armed as with another company's offerings.

      I have the same P2000sk in 9mm. I'm still not totally sold on the LEM, but it is a good gun.

      I really dislike going into Loiusville, glad I moved further away. I always carry when there, but then again I carry everywhere. Haven't been to the gun show in a couple of years, admission and parking fees are, IMO, getting too pricey.

      Magazines per defensive handgun: Somebody hold me back! =D

      I have five or six for my carry guns. I'm getting older, so I don't feel the need for many more lying around. I usually carry one extra mag when out and about. At home, I most likely have a j frame in my pocket.

      Where did you "see" OC today?

      Two yesterday, which is a bit unusual. One guy at the grocery store, had a Sig 238 it looked like. The other guy at supper time in a local eatery. Couldn't tell what type, he had already walked by when I looked up, and I only saw the rear of a dark colored pistol. The holster looked rather flimsy.
