Do you think Planet X exist?

Planet X was always the 'goofy' answer on the polls on the randi.org boards, so I believe it does indeed exist because it's always my default stupid answer on the polls on that board. In fact, I keep looking for it on the polls on here. Kinda bummed there's no Planet Y. Seems like it would...

The Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson kiss

I don't care who wants to kiss who, but (coming from someone who didn't watch the clip) it doesn't seem like they kinda go together...

      A Woman Selling Knives

Except for those creepy guys that called out to me from that one booth. Vibe from them was creepy, even if the exact words weren't. I won't say who they were, but those @#$*( aren't ever getting one red cent from me. Can you tell I didn't let that go? Here's me, not letting it go. Guys were...

      Little House on the Prairie

Sounds like a great idea! I love it when the power goes out. No computer fans, no electrical 'hum' everywhere. Candlelight. =)

      Advice for donations

Call around and see what women's shelters are in your area - if you can't find an indie one (that may not get much funding from a 'corporation' or mother-organization)that needs some help you may want to donate to the YWCA. Check any place that generally supports charities in your area - my...

      A Woman Selling Knives

What does his barefoot-and-pregnant-in-the-kitchen wife cut his meat into pieces with when he's at the dinner table? Her fingernails?

9mm handguns with low muzzle flip & perceived recoil?

      Help me help my wife

I wear skirts much of the time (but I can only shoot a rifle so far, so concealed carry is far into my future) But - At the 1500 was looking at some of the conceal options. I don't like any of them, a thigh holster will either have to be cinched so tight my leg will fall off, or it will fall...

To beer or not to beer, that is the question...

Well, I was awfully close to my grandmother, so that *must* indeed explain why I enjoy bitter beers. *is really glad she learned something new today!*

      General June Indy 1500 Discussion

I kind of liked the Lafayette show better. No offense to any of the vendors at the 1500 of course, just was more my kind of crowd. (Oh, but the jewelry woman had some terribly tempting stuff, but I *really* don't need more shinies right now.) Green mohawk guy was cool. I should have got a pic...

To beer or not to beer, that is the question...

I'm getting pretty snobby about beers - People's Brewing Company (run by the guy what left Lafayette Brewing Company) is open and we've been getting the majority of our beer from them. I'm loving their IPA's (they have 3 editions, all excellent), and their Maltster. (I made a killer beer bread...

You're too kind, but I persist that your hair looks lovely =) Ask my husband, I don't lie well!

      Bad Haircut

OK, I'm calling Knife_Lady out! I thought, OK, it's uneven, she's almost bald, and she's going to be wearing a large flowered hat to hide it. Now granted, it's slightly stacked in the back, but it's not 80's-wedge-stacked. Still perfectly blonde and lovely. Still has bangs. And, IMO, it's at...

      Eating clean and healthy

I like bacon! (does anyone here NOT like bacon?) In fact, have some stuff from the pig-of-a-friend-of-ours in the freezer that I add pretty often to my cooking (some nice rendered lard too).

      Square Foot Garden

Awesome looking SFG! I decided that it would be too spazzy of a spring business-wise for me to get a SFG together and going - I have some stuff planted - some in pots, 1 tomato plant in one of those 'reuse this shopping bag' bags (I am, for tomatoes!) that a vendor sent me, and my snow...

      Eating clean and healthy

I still like a quote that I heard recently regarding calories in/calories out. "You are not what you eat, you are what your body does with what you eat". We respond hormonally and enzymatically much different to different kinds of food. 300 calories of fat isn't the same in the body as 300...

      Bad Haircut

Going all bad etiquette and posting twice in a row to quote this: And add that each time I see my stylist, I tip her big because "You cut it, bleach it and color it great and you're cheaper than therapy". Plus she got me to a good physician when my surgery messed me up. I owe her my well-being!

      Bad Haircut

I love my stylist, but I agree with you. Whether you're male or female - just try a barber *once*. They learn ONLY cutting (depending on the state licensing issues, in MI they did) and are extremely good at it. If you don't need to worry about color/bleaching/etc - barbers are the way to go...
