We were in Muncie yesterday getting my sons tags and title work done and we stopped at the gun store on Wheeling. The store was reasonably stocked and the owner had about as much personality as a bunch of bananas.
I know the day is coming for me also. Its amazing how many men walk up and start a conversation when I'm out on the Pan or a Shovel and they know what model it is.
Years ago Otis Elevators Indy's office was downtown on Market St. I would stop at The Churchs on Emerson and 38th St on the way home every week or so and pickup dinner.
Those old women sure cooked good chicken, I wonder if its still there?

I bought my 2010 FXDC because it runs and acts like a Shovelhead.
But it starts at 20° it dont leak, and...
Thats a tall order to fill, I have one thats 73 this summer and a few around 43-46 ys old. I havent killed them yet.
Maybe my sons will be able to kill them down the road.

My newest is a 2010 FXDC,
I have four Shovels and a Pan. Two of the four Shovels I bought new in 80 and 84, the other two are FX's from 78 and 79.
The 1950 FL Pan, one of my great uncles bought at a DC Police auction in 1951.
He left me it around 1990, he left my older brother a few vintage...
I get it, but so far the day I cant kick one of my Shovels, I'll hit the starter button.
I dont think I will ever buy a trike. I will just give mine to my kids.
