One of the methods I've seen shown in news reports that are used for smuggling the Glock Switch in from China is embedding them in stuffed animals. At one time you could order them on Chinese goods web sites like Aliexpress. There was no effort to keep them secret. I don't know if that's still...
No . . . all semi-auto pistols with magazines holding more than 7-8 rounds have now become "assault pistols". It's about demonizing any pistol, including common ones like the Beretta M9. The pistol used in California at the ballroom was a semi-auto MAC-10 "clone" with a 20 round magazine . . ...
They can be found for about $150. Nearly all are smuggled in from China. The "Glock Switch" has become the "must have" device along with 30+ round extended magazines for every gang-banger, to prove their manhood and their power to terrify and control everyone around them. Not surprised they're...
A pair of folding AR-15s with 16" mid-length uppers and bayonets. One has an M9 bayonet, MaTech BUIS, M2 PMAG, and Magpul stock. Folding mechanism is the Gen 3 LAW Tactical. The other has an OKC3S bayonet, KAC Micro 200-600m, Series 2 Hexmag, and Aero Precision M4 stock. Folding mechanism is...
The M16A4 rear iron sight would be either a MaTech 200-600m BUIS (U.S. Army) or a KAC Micro 200-600m (USMC). The KAC isn't quite as bulky. Both fold down and flip up and can be easily positioned at the rear of the rail. They're extremely robust. You would have to move your optic forward some...
Similar thoughts. This was a huge failure of leadership and operational control, from the five on the scene straight to the top and the police chief . . . who started the unit herself to suppress the incidence of crime in high crime neighborhoods.
Bought a pair of Smith Enterprise G-6A2 Vortex flash hiders for my 16" AR-15 barrels. They will replace the Mil-Spec A2 bird cages on them. These have been used on U.S. military M16 and M4 rifles as a retrofit performed at a unit commander's discretion. They have an NSN and are readily available...
I dimpled a barrel last year. That turned into a frustrating challenge until I found and bought a drill bit that could handle the hardened steel barrel and its hardened finish. The bit was ostensibly made for drilling tempered glass. Ultimately got it done.
I've not seen one either. A quick check of PSA and Ballistic Advantage didn't turn up one in any length. Optics Planet turned up a Spikes Tactical. Went to the Spikes Tactical site and found several. Be prepared for some sticker shock depending on what you've bought in the past.
Having lived through the Rodney King Riot, looting and arson begins about 2PM or so. It continues to about 2AM to 4AM until the looters are too exhausted and too drunk to continue. Among the first things looted are liquor plus arms and ammunition. They sleep it off and repeat the next day...
This is starting to veer off topic . . . but I'll go there anyway.
Hunter received a direct commission in the US Navy Reserve as a Public Affairs Officer when his then VP father leaned all over the Navy Department to hand him one (in the USN this would usually be a LDO vs Line officer; i.e. not...
They had a handful of Physician Assistant warrants for a while. I don’t recall when they were phased out, but existing ones continued their careers until resigning or retiring after the USAF quit issuing warrants.
In addition, officers retain their rank after court-martial conviction. Last I...
I have half my unit out at the range for annual qualification (had to split it into two days). I turn it over to the First Sergeant to get the first group onto the firing line with the Range Safety NCOs. He does that and then turns to the remainder of the pair of platoons who are still in...
What I saw was a very determined dude breaking his way into Pelosi's home, and then the 911 call attempting to elicit a police response without inducing an attack from the home invader (trying to keep him calm). When the police finally arrive after the dispatcher gets the hints, he's then...
I saw that also . . . expecting clueless "reporters" to get anything correct, especially about the military or firearms, is an unreasonable expectation.
Mostly correct . . . commissioned officers don't "enlist", they're commissioned by the President and they're legally "Officers of the United...
Who's behind the Atlanta South River Forest "Occupation" and "Night of Violence"?
Party for Socialism and Liberation (Atlanta "chapter" supported by their national network). It's a national Marxist-Leninist Communist party that advocates the violent overthrow of government to replace it with a...
