I got some targets for you all! (Adding text first)
10/18. P365XL w/ Romeo zero before it was zeroed on 10/22.
Warmup 10 rounds w/ 22.
5 w/ storm and then some XL.
Different distances. The dot was a little off but I’m pulling down to the left in a lot of my shots.
I’m thinking TLR7 or Olight mini 2 Valkyrie. I’m not aware of any other higher lumen options that aren’t going to stick out way beyond the slide on the Sig without a rail adapter . Does the olight 1350 lumen?
I’m okay with it sticking a little bit further but not too much.
Honestly I’d have to...
I went with the XL with the Romeo and will get a standard(small) grip module.
The grip butt is just too big and it shows through clothing LOL . I don’t think it helps that it flares out.
Gotta get a holster too… and I’m thinking about adding a light so I’m not sure if I should get a holster...
The Bersa Thunder plus (380) is on my list of want to try and possibly buy.
Think it’s 20 oz, 3.5” barrel and the mags hold 15.
I think they’re still out there? I’ve seen them at a few stores but not many.
I really like DA/SA :)
I haven’t seen any of the CZ 83s.. just the 75 and it’s variants...
I may give the LCR a try. I’m not familiar with what a GP is?
I’m really looking for the capacity of a double stack pistol. The P365 shoots comfortably well for how small it is and I found it enjoyable.. which means I wouldn’t hesitate to train with it :)
I wouldn’t mind having revolvers as...
Oh yeah, so on the LCP 22, I have mixed feelings about it.
I have had at least one stovepipe each range visit and I can’t say that it was always a thunderbolt, but it does happen more frequently with them.
It has had some issues feeding the thunderbolts where I have to drop the mag cause the...
Thanks! Yeah I learned that I definitely should not go for a headshot over 10 yards away but hey, I had to try on a target for fun lol.
(I know to aim at center mass in a SD situation and not the head)
That sounds like a fun exercise!
I’ve been practicing with a laser bullet but haven’t found...
Thanks! Have you tried it?
I was wondering how many options there would be in comfortable (for me) calibers?
I wouldn’t mind trying some 380s, 9, maybe even 38 and 45 in a full size… but nothing like 40, 357 Magnum or above that.
P365. Circles are ones that missed the center target.
I wish I had tried this with the P365 for comparison.
Hellcat head target
And finally the dump. (Some 22 with my carry, my 9mm at 15 yards)
Some are at 5-7 yards when I started. And maybe like <10 of them were with the p365...
I think it was the 10 round with a little extra grip and not the extra flushed one.
As it turns out, even though my hands are kind of large for a female, my hands are longer and more narrow I guess?
I don’t have the pinky issue with the flush fit P365. It’s the perfect length.
Also, the XL...
Thank you! :)
I’ll give both another, more in depth chance when I go alone next.. with separate targets and everything to study afterwards.
I know either one will be a great option and may just end up getting the other one later on lol.
Hello everyone :)
So I went with my range partner and rented some micro compact 9’s.
I started with my 4” barrel 22 lr with stingers. 10 rounds.
One or two rounds through my Px4.
I think I may have tried the P938 prior to the rentals and at first I did not like it.
Tried the Shield Plus. It was...
That’s actually why I like the stelth ammo! It’s 165 gr and I think 800 fps.
I gotta get some more of it but I think I’ll mostly use it to get my range visit started and then switch over to cheaper target ammo.
If/when I get a suppressor, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to use it for...
Oops I meant the 22 lr LCP.
I have a PX4 storm compact so it is a fatty and I love it. Now that I can comfortably shoot it albeit slowly, I wouldn’t mind carrying it during cold weather seasons, or in a CC bag of some sorts.
Ideally I would have something thicker than the Lcp but not nearly...
So I went out to the range today intending to try the new ammo for the 22 for fun. Then I did some thunderbolts. I stopped after I had a dud.
I decided to give my (27oz) 9mm a go with Stelth subsonic Ammo. I eased into it with one bullet at a time.. and I had grippy gloves on for awhile but...
I picked up some different boxes to compare with the stingers. Aguila Interceptor? And supermaximum… and I think the Fed. Punch.
CCI has been harder to find.
Right now I have mini mags loaded because I was the most accurate with those right before I left the range.
About how many rounds...
I haven’t tried either of those 22 cartridges but I think I just got a box of the punch to try out.
I used Remington thunderbolt So I’m not sure how comparable that is to the federal range ammo.
I can tell you that I get some visible muzzle flip when using stingers on the Lcp, but...
I’ve never owned a revolver, but I have a fat compact beretta in 9mm that I’ve practiced on and off again with dummy rounds since about 2016 or so. I’ve practiced with fake malfunctions and it did help. I felt more prepared to handle malfunctions when at the range (which I’ve encountered stove...
