Now that is cool!!! What model # is that? How does it shoot? Love the boot grips, too!

625-11 I've only shot it once. I keep the rare one's with a low round count. It shot well with loads I made with a collet crimp. I forgot what grain bullet I used. I have silvertips for it if I ever have the need to carry it.

Gotcha. I really appreciate the info. I learned something new today! Do you know if it was offered in other other barrel lengths, or just the 2"?

Also, do you know who makes those grips? I modified a set of Altmonts for my Model 69, but the ones on your gun look to be just about perfect as they are. I like the checkering, too. Mine are smooth and tend to slide around a bit under recoil.

I don't know about other barrel lengths. This is the only 45 colt scandium I've ever seen. The grips came with the firearm. I see the grips on Ebay occasionally. I forget who made them. If your good with 44 Magnum you might be able to find one these easier. It's a 329 PD with a SS cylinder.

Yeah, I imagine I could live with that! The only 329PDs I've seen have the longer barrel. That's a beauty.

This would be a little heavier but would protect you from anything that walks. 460 S&W

Indeed it would, lol, but that's more weight by far than I want to lug around. I'm actually pretty well served by this guy, and being a 5-shot L-Frame it's rather svelte for a .44 Mag. But there's always that desire for something lighter, especially after a day or 2 on the trail...
