Gun companies can learn and improve . . . Ok . . . maybe not Colt . . . Colt cannot but others can.

I believe that it is vital for the American gun industry to get good with AKs. Being an earlier adaptor helps this market.
The Colt bashing never gets old. Still hoping the Czechs have a positive influence on them.

Agreed that good, reliable, American AKs are a must. That and domestic ammo manufacturers to start making 5.45x39 & 7.62x39 in mass quantities. Some say we are there with the rifles, I still feel like we are closer than ever but just not quite. I don't understand why an American company can't build a decent AK that runs with all our modern CNC machines and materials when people in mud huts on the other side of the world build working AKs out of old shovels

I have a few 5.45 mags that needed just a little shave for the bolt to clear the mag and all was well. Try it before hounding down the new followers.

That is good to know, I bought a Pod arms follower for $20 bucks to try it out in my Plum Tula 5.45 mag and it runs like a champ in my 556 Zastava M85. I have 5 other metal Zastava 556 mags but love the looks of the Plum Russian mag in the gun.

WBP gang gang! I really have enjoyed the build quality of these. The only thing I’ve gathered from the ak guys is the BCG. It’s made from a “softer” material and might wear more. Idk though it’s an AK and it rips. There’s plenty of milspec BCG’s out there lol

I thought about buying a new BCG instead of drilling out the pin on mine for the KNS piston. Does the 5.56 version use the same BCG as an AKM?

Details? First look I'm thinking Zastava with the bulged trunnion but no markings.

???. I do have Zastava guns, the chrome lined barrels, the Zs, traded my Zastava non chromed barrels off.

The TR guns are reworked Romanians, this is Variant 2, Variant 1 had the dog d**k red grips. Gun was 4.5-ish with trash ammo (remember my aging eyes and that I have a Zombie left eye [20/20 but I get a slight halo in certain light); I kept it at 1.5-2 MOA (off bench) with Norma 124 grs. It also likes that Serb stuff Belom, but I have mountains of trash ammo (of course). I am getting one of the PA GLX 1Xs, had SLX 1X on it. Those are fantastic for what I need.

I like it. It is a no piddle gun which I favor, the semi-custom "ready from the box". Some guys want to Lego it up from square one. Got it, cool, you learn a lot, no argument.

I wanted a solid B+ (this is not Krebs or RD) off the rack gun, just like everyone else but enhanced from factory, AK, no piddling with it. This is it.

Out of all the AKs I own and have owned my favorite one to grab and go blast with is my WASR.
It's overgassed as hell, hucks brass so far I can't find it, and the front sight post (not tower, actual post) is visibly crooked in the sight picture and zeroed to the crookedness.

But I love it anyway. I bought it and picked the beater furniture specifically to look like every worn out Russian combloc trash AK from every Syrian Civil War helmet cam video.
