FWIW, the democrat mayor (I wouldn't call him a leftist), had a DUI, he hit a car and stayed for when the police showed up.

Drunk driving is not merely a "bad lapse[] in judgement".
Drunk driving, property damage, and leaving the scene, if prosecuted as such, will likely cost the state's foremost gun-rights legislator his own right to possess firearms.
Should I be pissed off because yet another politician got preferential treatment, or should I be pissed off because everyone who gets blackout drunk and pulls this **** gets such treatment - after endangering the law-abiding public?

Not really. I wont be listening. I can only take so much of his ranting. He has been fairly reserved and polite on this topic so far, but some days I just cant stand the man.

I agree, but not really on this subject of Jim Lucas' arrest. Rob has been versed and rehearsed on his commentary of Lucas' current problem. Hands off, other than well wishes and basic subject matter in relation to anyone paid for with our tax dollars in that position.

I understand that is the legal limit in Indiana.... but based solely on the reporting of driving on rims and such it sounded more like .18
