Shows us all that we need to have minds open to learning about others. One of the most interesting conversations I've ever had was with a Sikh driver delivering the same place that I was. They value strength and competence and the ability to defend oneself, very much like we do. And could be valuable allies in our fight to keep our God given, unalienable rights. Read the book. Don't just pass it over because of the cover.

I really just wanted to know what others think of this. Not trying to change anyone's views. Agreed I may have had a incorrect first impression but if you look at pictures of Islamic terrorists that want to kill America people....They look alot like if not identical to these guys. So while I admit to some ignorance of Muslim/sikh culture I never said he shouldn't be able to put what he wants on his truck.I never said harm should come to him because of it I just stated that it pissed me off a bit. And it still does. Its in poor taste in my simple 60 year old mind. Just because you have the right to say or do something doesn't mean you should.

I’m more offended by Biden stickers and BLM stickers. And I’m not really offended by them. Even if it was offensive it’s a reflection on them not me. I mind my own business, if only our government would do that. Right now we got politicians melding in everything and offended by just about anything that is good. All I wanna know is what kind of AK is that and is it for sale?

Living my entire life in Indiana, I think the first time I saw a man with a head wrap was when I was 13 when I went to New York City to visit my older sister. I was told the man was "from the middle east". Ok, didn't think another thing about it.

I began to learn about Muslim ideology when the Gulf Wars began. Still, never saw any men with a head wrap in my everyday life. Only in the last decade and even more so in the past 5 years do I see these men where I live. There is a large Sikh population on the east side of Greenwood. But until the OG educated me on the difference between Sikh and Muslim religion and ideologies, I frankly didn't know there was a difference. But there is. And knowing the difference is important.

The vast majority of Sikh are legitimate religious refugees fleeing persecution in their birth country. If you were living in fear of you and your family being killed because of your religious beliefs and heard that you could get into a new country that tolerates your beliefs and even give you a stipend to live there, wouldn't you take that chance and go?

    Sound familiar?

A cowboy and Indian and a Islamic extremist walk into a small bar.

After a couple drinks they got to talking.

The Indian said "In this country we were once many now we are few."

The Islamic extremist said "In this country we were once few and now we are many"

The cowboy finished his drink and then said "That's because we have not started playing cowboys and Islamic extremist's yet."

When my youngest was 4 years old he came into my wife and I's bed room early one morning. He had found a picture of his mom from back in the day. Her and I used to tan when it was popular and we were young. He woke me saying dad dad as quiet as he could. He then told me with great concern that his mom used to be black. I just said, "Shhh, don't tell her" and left it at that.

We are only smart if we recognize how ignorant we are. Too many parents put their kids on the longer busses in error. I'd rather ride the short one where the smiles and hugs are.
