I work with a guy that has a very healthy miata with a rotary. I was actually shocked how fast that little thing is. The tone of the engine at full song isn't my thing but I would gladly try ripping up a road course with it
I don't fit into miatas well, and I loathe rotaries. Plus none of that is legal for what the class I'm running. Small, production FWD 25:1 power to weight running 205 max width tires on 8" max width wheels, no engine swaps, no LSD's.

Yeah she is over the top on the burnout!

The Super Stock needs to hit 3rd gear during the burnout. This is to protect the transmission if you let off before 3rd it can damage the sprang.

The M/T seem to put out a ton of smoke?

She is gonna race my GT 500 in the all female class at the Ford fest.
Yeah M/T tires do seem to smoke more than others.
We'll need pictures of her racing the GT500 or it didn't happen lol

Some time slips for group interpretation.

Remind me again, what model Challenger she has and has there been any mods?
Well it's definitely pretty dang consistent. Is that with traction control on or off?
Does it have the factory trans brake and was she using it?
Very small variation among the three. The one in the middle for whatever reason had a slightly better 60' time and it correlated to a slightly better ET and MPH at the 1/8th.

What kind of lights were in the Christmas tree? Asking because it effects R/T. Also was the class run on a Pro Tree or Full Tree? Not to insult any intelligence, but did the 3 yellow bulbs flash simultaneously or did the slowly light one at a time? Asking because starting line procedure can be different for the two.
The slip in the middle shows a .258 R/T which isn't so bad. The other two were .735 and .861 R/T. Not bashing, but if my reaction time is anywhere near that, my crew busts my balls about needing to knock on the window & telling me to go lol.
To be fair as mentioned above need to know what kind of tree.
Overall, it was consistent enough to be a bracket car.

It’s a Super Stock with just a cold air intake no trans brake. 345/35/18 M/T street SS

It was .500 pro tree she has only ran pro tree once before. She nails the sportsman tree I attempted to get her to stage deeper. I didn’t wanna mess up her mojo with to much advice.

She is kinda bummed she didn’t make it pass the 2nd round. I tried to tell her she qualified for her class and made it pass the 1st round at a National event.

I know there are a bunch of drag racers here. There is a app/game called No Limit 2. It's really fun and challenging. Great selection of vehicles and you don't need to spend a dime to be competitive.

Tons of tuning options. Tuning your suspension is the key to being the all out fastest. But you can have fun without being the fastest too. You can race the computer or race real people. The graphics are amazing.

Customizing your vehicle is about endless too. Here is my garage as of now. This doesn't include the 11 cars I have in storage. I've been playing it for about a year now.

I think that's the game my nephew has.
If I were into video games, I would definitely have it. Looks fun

Break the tire down, clean the bead and rim with alcohol or acetone (especially if lubricant was used during mounting and not cleaned), rough up wheel mounting surface, reseat tire would be my first try.

@thunderchicken I am leaning on you for advice since CM is in the burnout box above.

She is slipping on the rim ? View attachment 226036 View attachment 226037
Jaybird's recommendation is a good place to start. If I were going to give that a try, I would apply some bead sealer after scuffing up the wheels bead flange.
The real downer to it is first that you will be scuffing any protective coating off the wheel. Also, you will be opening the door to corrosion buildup on the beads which leads to poor sealing.
Whatever you do regardless of what you see, it is absolutely not a good idea to use rim screws with a radial tire. The tires bead construction is not designed for it and can cause a very rapid loss of air pressure at high speed.
M/T primarily recommends wheels with bead locks to stop the slippage. It's generally considered normal to have a small amount of slippage on newly mounted tires. But, after that it should stop slipping. If not it's time to look at a single bead lock wheel. They aren't exactly cheap, but you might justify it by having a set of race wheels and street wheels. By not cruising on the race tires, you don't put the tire through unnecessary heat cycles and you avoid pot holes that can damage the tire and wheel. Cruising on factory wheels will helo keep from drawing any unwanted attention

Btw, that's not a bad tire pressure at all.

This is the class I would like to be running. Just not quite there yet. See who #4 qualifier is? I think this maybe the first competition he has entered since about this time in 2019 and just picks up where he left off

Man, I am still just not ready to accept that fall is here.
I have plenty of end of the season things to get done before the thermometer gets closer to the freezing mark.
It was a good time hanging out at the NMCA race over the weekend. Saw some friends I haven't seen for a while so that was nice.
Gotta get the short block dropped off to be freshened up. So I am hopeful that parts won't be an issue. I would really like to get it done and back in time to get everything back together by early spring.

What's everyone else's hot rod plans to get done once the temps drop too far to be out playing?

The guy I sold my Challenger to texted me a few days ago and said he may want to sell it soon. :faint:
