So you can carry in bars now?
You could yesterday too. It's important to check the State laws when you cross a line on the map. Kentucky is a NO in bars including a restaurant bar (Red Lobster example: you can sit by the lobster tank with a beer, but can't enter the bar area.) Ohio: can't drink while carrying, but you can sit in the bar. Michigan (and Texas I know) has the 51% law if the establishment makes over half it's revenue from alcohol sales you can't carry there.

And this is all spelled out in a simple to navigate app called CCW, has a picture of the flag with a gun in front of it, I’m sure there are others as well as web pages (USCCA has one) that are worth having and studying. Really helps to add peace of mind when traveling, as well as answer others questions.

    Now back to the party.

Better half and I were having dinner at a bar a while back in a town with a college that brings in a number of out of state folks.

Table behind us had what appeared to be a life time student with her parents... complete with strong New York accents and the volume common to such folks.

Lifetime student was droning on and on about how backwards Indiana is....she started talking about "weak gun laws" in Indiana.

"They even want to let people carry in bars here....Can you imagine what a disaster that would be?"

Better half and I had a chuckle.

Got up to leave and I stepped over to say something like, "Sounds like you're not from around here. Welcome to Indiana"...while open carrying a 1911 sidearm.

Could hear them "whispering" their shock as we walked away.

    Fun time!

I will not throw them all in the same trash can but New York folks are, based on my experiences, arrogant ignorant pricks.
