Oh I am sure it would. Term limits would be high on my list of fixing this crap. No more alphabet agency's put in place for the sole purpose of pushing agendas outside the law. Not sure how this could be accomplished but they need to go away.
Start with the BATF move through the FBI and just keep on slashing.
The coming decision on regulations may be another big push back to the leftists. Based on recent decisions I am cautiously optimistic for this.

Here's a crazy idea....if you don't like the Constitution, change it. There is a process for that built in. No, I don't mean changing it ad hoc when you can get 5 out of 9 failed lawyers to agree. The built in change process involves action by actual elected representatives of the people.

Here's a little known secret- the Constitution has been changed 27 times. In fact, it was changed to specifically make it illegal to be a slave owner. I KNOW, I was shocked too.
Here's an even crazier idea. Rather than people trying to take away OUR rights, what rights are THOSE PEOPLE willing to waive?

The Civil Rights Act was signed by Lyndon Johnson, and he was a racist.

So - I guess we're getting rid of that, and the Voting Rights Act, etc., etf*ckingcetera?

Tell you what: let me spend July 4th weekend researching what other POS laws, regulations, amendments, and court decisions were written by morally questionable individuals.

I'll be more than happy to rip that sh*t up myself.

    Heh.

Slavery was not something started with blacks in cotton fields in the southern states of America. Vast areas of the world still have personal ownership of slaves.

In early recorded history, Joseph, son of Jacob, was sold into slavery by his brothers. The early Jewish culture had a time frame to release a slave with a clause that the slave could stay indefinitely if he wanted. In the middle of the 1700's the song "Amazing Grace" was written by a former slave trader.

Even in America, some slaves were whites that had found themselves in deep financial problems. In the early 1900's, "strawboss" types would go to starving places in Europe and recruit boys to come to America and work in the mills and mines. To pay off the passage, they had to live in substandard conditions and labor long hours while the strawbosses pocketed their pay for a number of years. I was raised by a man that got to America that way. That man was more patriotic than 90% of anyone I know. It cost him dearly to get here and he had nothing but appreciation for every opportunity he had once he was done with his indentured servitude.

I have no desire to see slavery as an employment option. I have spent time in large urban areas, working in areas where most do not go. Despite the continual injection of taxpayer money, conditions are harsh, cruel and as violent as even the most dramatic slave movie we have ever seen. Some people will always find a way to be cruel, and some people will never be responsible.

The fact that the left has chosen to make slavery a fetish and emotionally charge the word well past logic and history does not mean we have to over ride logic to accommodate them.

The people who are upset about the US and slavery fall into two camps, those who are purposefully angry in order to drive their ideology or to get a payday, or those who let themselves be willingly misinformed about the subject. Africa, especially during the time of the slave trade, was a country of tribal nations. Tribes warred with each other and often took the losers as slaves. When the Dutch and Europeans came, they found it was better to sell the slaves than to keep them. So their own ancestors sold them into slavery, but somehow it's all the fault of white people? Doesn't make any sense. Let alone the past is the past and no one alive today in America was a slave or owned a slave (except for the still in existence human trafficking that still occurs, but that's a different topic).

Just to summerize....there are no reparations from long extinct tribal nations. No money. No welfare. No anything so we (working class white folks) have the means to be stole from in their search for free :poop:

    I think I covered it.

The real kicker on that is that it was finally republicans, not democrats that got the Civil Rights Act passed for Johnson to sign....he had to sign it or the Sen. would of pushed it back through. If it was up to Democrats and Johnson they never would of done it ever. Johnson used it to his advantage though....up to that point about 90% of blacks voted (R)......wonder why. But Johnson started the broad $$$$$ handouts to the Blacks and literally bribed them. A Governor and another guy wrote in their books thats Johnson said, "now that we have bought the Blacks,(used a different word) we can rely on their votes for the next 100 years." He has so far been right because right after that Blacks vote 90% (D) to this day every election. Talking about going back to the Democrat slave plantation. Never made any sense to me....the people and party that helped you the most.....and all they wanted was welfare $$$$. ?????

I remember a time when we could (in good humor) make fun of each other without the hate. It has fed upon itself and grown beyond rational sense.
There has always been hate. Hate of people of a different country, a different race, a different culture, a different religion, a different political philosophy, etc. There always will be. Nothing new. I don't think that the latest information technology has really changed anything. False propaganda has always been used to sway people. I think it might have started in a garden with a serpent.

Oh, I know of a few people that "their guns are okay, but those assault rifles...", and "their speech is okay, but that hate speech"..
I know some people that vote Democrat, have AR-15's, and other so called Assault Rifles with so called High Capacity magazines.
They believe it's OK for them to own them, and the Democrat party will allow then to keep their rifles and magazines because they are Democrats themselves.
Democrats only want to disarm crazy Republicans who are not trustworthy enough to have any firearms.

Explain how they can rationalize this belief?
I find it similar to the Bolsheviks ideals.

It’s just typical liberal stupidity and hypocrisy. They honestly believe they themselves will be spared from the ridiculous laws they want instituted and that everyone else will to have to abide by.

Incapable or unwilling to think critically. If you follow any one of their ridiculous ideals beyond the initial virtue signaling actions none of them are sustainable and the vast majority aren’t even remotely viable. None of that matters though, as long as they get to feel like they’ve done something.

You cannot get more disconnected from reality than to become an American liberal.

Oh boy! Here we go again. Making history something it's not.
History? Heck; the article couldn't even get the present correct.

Last week, the Supreme Court eviscerated a woman’s right to abortion...
False. The Supreme Court eviscerated the right of the Federal judiciary to create law by fiat in an area for which the Constitution enumerates no authority for the Federal government to act.

    ...undermined Miranda rights...
False. The Supreme Court didn't touch Miranda rights.

    expanded gun rights...
False. The Supreme Court merely upheld already existing, constitutional protection of rights.

...and allowed border patrol agents to operate with even further impunity...
I missed this decision, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess they got this one wrong, too.

Today, it ruled that a former Washington state high school football coach can pray on the field immediately after games—regardless of the religious backgrounds of the students.
Yes. That's what "...or prohibit the free exercise thereof" means in the first amendment.

Or it doesnt affect them so they dont care. (so they think) (and they have no idea who Niemoller is)
"I dont own guns. So who cares if they are outlawed. No skin off my back. That is why we have police. " (or private security)

Or they want to suck off the gov't teet and spend OUR money: "Obamacare is great. I want that free healthcare."

Or one that hits close to home here:
"I think they are silly and dont own one and never will. Who cares if bumpstocks are illegal? Wont hurt me none."

Or my favorite from another member here. Wish I remember this anti American/2A A-hole's name:
(paraphrased) "I dont care if Assault rifles are banned or carry permits are revoked. As long as I can still bust clays with my O/U, Hunt with my bolt action rifle, and keep my handgun on my bedside, I'm fine with whatever. Nobody needs to EDC or own an assault rifle."
