A thorough review of all available data indicates that the infant formula produced at our Sturgis facility is not likely the source of infection in the reported cases and that there was not an outbreak caused by products from the facility.
However, despite the findings of the investigation, the plant remains shuttered nearly three months later, fueling the nationwide baby formula shortage.

With exception and regard to women that have physical issues with breastfeeding and children that require formula for a variety of reasons...(enough disclaimers for everybody?)

As a society that requires two incomes to maintain the lifestyles we have accustomed to and having deconstructed the nuclear family, we have forgotten what motherhood is.

Then again, I'm a male, so I'm not allowed to have an opinion.

Never ascribe to malice or conspiracy that which can be adequately explained by ignorance or incompetence.

It is most likely another symptom of the idiocracy.

QFT - there are more than enough incompetent moron bureaucrats, unwilling to make a decision and put their name on it to keep the plant(s) shuttered.

Formula shortages happen. Diaper shortages happen.

Have you guys never had to deal with government or large company "safety guys" before? They make the average Biden voter look like a genius. These people only know two things: paperwork in, paperwork out. There is net zero common sense going on at facilities like this.

Having dealt with the the IRS and many departments of revenue for different states, this is accurate. Government workers are paperwork monsters. It's the paper that gives their jobs purpose. Don't send in your paperwork, and you get angry paperwork telling you to send in your paperwork. They only care about their paperwork....

Yet another mind boggling public health policy disaster.

Disband the FDA and CDC. They protect nobody and produce nothing but waste and calamity.

No it doesnt. I guess it does if you want to have brand new cars, boats, RVs, etc.

We are doing just fine on a single income. Of course we're not taking expensive vacations, eating out constantly, I dont have a nice bass boat or motorcycle, etc.

It can be done by many. They just choose not to because they dont like sacrifice.

(and dont get panties in a wad. I never sand EVERYONE can do it)

I have no doubt those in charge of this administration have a "plan". A plan most of us don't like one little bit.

But please explain how this baby formula shortage advances that plan. I'm dying to know.

No panty wadding here. I probably should have put requires in italics if not purple.

My post was intended to be sarcastic, a mockery, a cynical take of a narcissistic, hedonistic, consumer-bent lost peoples.

I'm glad for you Cameramonkey that you have escaped the tragedy/self-imposed imprisonment of a debt-ladened lifestyle. As you have pointed out, MOST people I know have been unable to achieve that position.

Let me re-phrase: In a society where someone is to be seen as normal, to be seen as endeavoring to keep up with the Jones'....
