    Well, when companies tell their employees to work from home (as in my case - and there are a few thousand of us just at my facility), that's not a case of the employees saying "screw you" to those that didn't have the opportunity to do that. That's what I was taking exception to. We weren't the ones that made the policy, but as I said, I'm very thankful.
    I doubt you are a FB guy and neither am I but I have enough friends who are to see the attitudes of many of those that do work from home and their screw the rest of you attitude. It is a big number…

    I was really hoping to do a little more shooting this season. Justify the range memberships I have.

    I guess primer prices or the 'rona may not be the only consideration on a two hour drive range trip this year?

    Our leaders at work. What a condescending bitch...

    Some people that are "rebutting" what she says...

    Basically, Pres. Biden put us in this situation.
    He yelled at Saudi, saying they're polluting.
    Now he went to them and wants their help.

    As for the 9,000 leases, the administration has a bunch of red tape in the way, with a lead time of as much as 10 YEARS because of red tape.

    Well, those people suck. And you are correct, I'm not a FB guy.

    $4.39/ gal in Lafayette this afternoon.
    Speedway on 43 N read $4.39/gal. on the sign. I figured I’d might as well, not as if it will be any cheaper anytime soon. I’ve been keeping my tank at 3/4 full or more for a while. Ridiculously enough, I was happy to see it was actually $3.99 at the pump. Who knew one could be relieved to pay a measly $4/gal.

    I remember something about people becoming lawyers because they weren't good at math. :lmfao:

    0.999... is not "the number which is most infinitesimally smaller than 1" rather, It is an infinite series that converges to 1.

    But gas prices are not $4.099(repeating), for example. They are $4.099.

    True, I remember our prof in undergrad calculus going through the proof. It went something like this:

    If n= 0.999..., then
    10n = 9.999, so
    10n - n =
    9.999... - 0.999...
    9n = 9
    n = 1

    Being a contrarian, I pointed out to the prof that ellipses are not numbers, so I rejected his argument. And all these years later, it still smells fishy to me.

    Pete Buttigieg said today that the way to get around the high gas prices is to buy an electric vehicle. Average cost of electric vehicle is $55,000. So there is that.

    Poor and elderly suffer the most.

    I haven't had much time to spend on the forum for a while, especially the politics sub, but saw this thread and had to drop in to express my disgust at the people of this country whos utter lack of mental acuity or complete detachment from reality led them to vote for this senile, geriatric, spineless, empty suit because the last guy offended their fragile sensibilities.

    Those Biden supporters have been remarkably absent lately haven't they? Hope they're okay... @CampingJosh @Alpo You guys doing okay? Still happy with your choice? Enjoying the higher prices at the pump and at the grocery stores and... well, just about everywhere? I mean, you can always take solace in the fact that Biden probably doesn't know how to use Twitter, so you've got that going for you. :thumbsup:

    Just wait to see what electricity will cost when there are a lot more EVs on the road. ;)

    Not to mention, how we will make electricity when demand and prices are much higher. After the coal mines and oil wells are made illegal.
