Yeah, hopefully Larson wins the championship this weekend. That would be a big middle finger in my opinion. He deserves it. Anybody that wins nine races and somehow doesn’t win the championship got ****ed, but that’s what the new point system is all about.

Even better if he'd put Bubba in the fence on the way to doing it. :):

I cannot say.... I do not follow the show.

All I know is that whenever I come across a place that is showing a nascar race, most of the stands are blocked out, have banners over them, etc etc

I lost interest many many moons ago when gm tried to play off the front wheel drive monte carlo as anything akin to a stock car race.

Somewhere along the way, they lost their way....I would put it about the time they started focusing more on "marketing themselves as a product" and concerning themselves with BS like "days of thunder" and stickers on crap cars in a showroom rather than stockcar racing.

They continue to dig their hole deeper.

Smooth Move there, Phelps! Yup, whatever You do-DON'T remember the Folks that actually Made NASCAR a Billion $ Enterprise! And Don't even try & make it sound like your trying to "Protect the Name brand." Anybody can see thru that BS. IMHO-This is about PC & your Fanbase Doesn't appear to be Interested in that Nonsense. Guess the First Amendment now Doesn't apply in NASCAR venues? Honestly haven't watched much NASCAR since King Petty Retired, the Intimidator Passed & JR "Retired" & now it seems I'll be watching even less.

I don't care about NASCAR and get that politically they are out of touch with the seven people who still watch it, but this is pretty standard stuff regardless of politics.

NASCAR will pursue legal action against those who use their trademarks on merchandise including the slogan.

"We will pursue whoever (is using logos) and get that stuff," said Phelps. "That's not OK. It's not OK that you're using our trademarks illegally, regardless of whether we agree with what the position is."

You can't use someone else's trademarks without their permission. Trademark holders must protect their trademark to keep legal protections of their trademark as well. See: https://www.justia.com/intellectual-property/trademarks/enforcement/

It doesn't look like they are trying to trademark the Brandon chant nor saying you can't say it, you just can't use the NASCAR logos with it.

They seem to have all the bases covered including wife-beaters and baby onesies.

Nascar has been back peddling since they started restrictor plates. A race car that's too fast? Give me a break.:noway:
Well to be fair, originally the plates had the best of intentions behind them. The problem was back then tracks weren't built with sufficient catch fencing to contain a heavy car at the speeds they were capable of running.
If one of those cars had gotten through a fence and killed a bunch of fans including kids, it would have been the end.

So, they don't want products using the "Let's Go Brandon" phrase with their licensed logo. I get that and can respect their stance. They have to protect their own product line. Maybe this week fans will chant.. Let's Go NASCAR!

Let's go Brandon is a monumental narrative change that is crushing MSM lies. Whatever trademark or other desperation reaction to a phrase that isn't going away exposes the tyranny even more for the imploding sports world. Looks like most Pro Sports are going the way of the Dodo bird.
