Trying this one for the first time. Not technically “bourbon” but comes in right at $50 with a 13 year age statement and it’s quite tasty.

Technically and by all legal definitions, every bottle of "Tennessee Whiskey" is, in fact, actually Bourbon. It meets every criteria for bourbon so there it is bourbon.

    All 'Tennessee Whiskey' is bourbon.

Only bourbon, made in Tennessee, under the rules and laws set by the legislature of Tennessee, can be marketed as Tennessee Whiskey.

Pumped to try this one. Been on my radar for quite some time. Just lucked into it randomly at a liquor store in Highland. $54.99 View attachment 149753
Go to Lake Liquors on US41 at 132nd Street in St John. See Rick, he is there most afternoons/evenings. That store has the largest selection of bourbon and whiskey in the county. Prices are really good too.

Big Red Liquors have a fairly decent sale going on right now. If you're not in their VIP club, it's free and there's benefits along with weekly sale specials.
The Knob Creek 9 year is $22.99
The Old Forester 1910 is $43
There's sale prices on Woodford Reserve and many others.
    Cheers!

On a quick weekend get away in Louisville… wife recommends we try Jockey Silks because they have hundreds of bourbons to choose from!!! Yes!

So I had my first pour of Basil Hayden’s bourbon. Gotta say, that was a home run for me. Vanilla/toffee/roasted marshmellows.

so definitely getting a bottle when I see it on sale.

Planning a Bourbon Trail trip along with my son and DIL and not sure how to go about it? Either direct to the distilleries or a bus tour experience?

Definitely want to hit Heaven Hill in Bardstown for Elijah Craig and Larceny, but also hoping for both Basil Hayden's (is that in Louisville or at the distillery?) and Blanton's (which appears to be in far away Frankfort).

Definitely looking to learn the tips and tricks from others!

My wife and I booked bus tours through a company called Mint Julep Tours. Great experience, 2 tours with tastings and a 3rd tasting. We did 2 tours over a weekend and would definately go again. If you want to stay in downtown Louisville, Peerless, Evan Williams Experience, Old Forester, and Angel Envy are all walking distance from the Gault House hotel on 4th street. Louisville Slugger museum is close as well. PM me if you have any more questions.

ETA Blantons is part of Buffalo Trace tour. We only did a tasting at Heaven Hill with Elijah Craig and Larceny.
