It's time for Israel to take out the trash and those Palestinian civilians who gladly accept the role of human shields. So let them be. I mean who would allow rockets to be set up at your schools and then tell your children to go to school? This has been their practice in the past I don't know if they are currently doing it. However, it gives you the mindset of the so called civilians.

I think the Sh*t is about to hit the rotating wind moving assembly !

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu just made the following speech in front of the Knesset:
To Ismail Haniya, and the leaders and operatives of Hamas:
We, the people of Israel, owe you a huge debt of gratitude. You have succeeded where we have failed. Because never before, in the history of the modern State of Israel, has the Jewish people been so united, like one person with one heart. Everyone in Israel, from Left to Right, secular and religious, in united in the knowledge that there is no accommodating an enemy that is sworn to the genocide of our people.
And now, as you continue to launch deadly missiles indiscriminately, intended to maim and murder as many civilians as possible, while you take cowardly refuge behind your own civilians - you continue to inspire us to hold strongly onto our unity. Whatever disputes we Jews may have with each other, we now know that we have one common goal: we will defeat you.
But we are offering you now one last chance. Within 24 hours, all rocket fire - and I mean all rocket fire - will cease. Completely. Forever.
I give you formal notice that our tanks are massed at the Gaza border, with artillery and air support at the ready. We have already dropped leaflets over the northern parts of the Gaza strip, warning civilians of our impending arrival, and that they should evacuate southward, forthwith. If you fail to meet our ultimatum, we are coming in, and, with God's help, this time we will not leave. Every centimeter of land that we conquer will be annexed to Israel, so that there will never be another attack launched at our civilians from there.
Even so, we will continue to keep the door open to allow you to surrender gracefully. The moment you announce that you are laying down arms, we will halt our advance, and there we will draw our new borders. If you continue to attack our citizens, we will continue to roll southwards, driving you out of territory that you will never again contaminate with your evil presence.
It pains me deeply that your civilians will be made homeless. But we did not choose this war; you did. And if our choice is between allowing our citizens to be targeted mercilessly by your genocidal savagery, versus turning your civilians into refugees, I regret that we must choose the latter. If only you loved your people as much as you hate ours, this war would never have happened.
To the rest of the world: Israel has tired of your ceaseless chidings that we should "show restraint". When you have your entire population under constant missile fire from an implacable enemy whose stated goal is the murder of every man, woman and child in your land, then you may come and talk to us about "restraint". Until then, we respectfully suggest that you keep your double standards to yourselves. This time, Hamas has gone too far, and we will do whatever we have to in order to protect our population.
Hamas, once again, I thank you for bringing our people together with such clarity of mind and unity of purpose. The people of Israel do not fear the long road ahead.
    From 2014...

Rep Omar is a clown. She's bitching about how Palestinians are being murdered by the Israelis, because they dont have their own Iron dome.

She reminds me of the mom of a teen that gets a beatdown after starting a fight. Dont start none, wont be none.

Which reminds me of a quote I heard this AM. "If the Palestinians put down their weapons there would be peace. If the Israelis put down their weapons, they will no longer exist. "

So launching indiscriminate, unguided rockets offensively isnt terrorism, but launching targeted retaliatory attacks on known strategic targets is. SMH

Hardly, one of the better kept secrets from the American public is that Jordan has been taking in Palestinian refugees for years and issuing them travel docs/giving citizenship.

I see. So are these Jordanians with Palestinian backgrounds returning to help with the fight, or something else? Seems an odd time to move to Palestine with an active firefight going on.

I have no idea if these particular people are Palestinians, it’s an interesting and increasingly murky situation over there.

jordan was "palestine" until the brits took their "mandate of palestine" east of the jordan river and gave it as a consolation prize to the hussein family who were driven out of arabia by the saud clan in 1922

they just roll in the bulldozer and will literally bulldoze homes with people inside.
Distilled B******T. The IDF has designed bombs with vertical blasts in order to minimize civilian casualties in gaza, but bulldozers...

I know it's about impossible to get unbiased "news" about Israel...maybe try checking what you read with Arutz7 etc

Let’s start with why is this happening? Things seemed quite for a while, what changed? I want to hear your perspective.

A "2 state solution" is as real as a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. The arabs have been offered territorial compromise at least 6 times. Each time, the answer has been a violent 'no' because the conflict isn't about land and sovereignty for arabs but about destroying Israel in order to deny those things to Jews for the sake of moslem supremacy. It was true in 1947 when the brits abandoned their empire, leaving much of it in a state of civil war, and the UN proposed a partition plan with 2 states (like they did in India)--which the the whole arab world rejected. It was true in 2000 when israel offered them gaza, e. Jerusalem, and the "west bank" (of the hashemite kingdom of trans-jordan, by right of conquest), and the PA/PLO responded with violence.

The current riots against jews across israel show that hasn't changed. To those who want to look for equivalency, note that while there was combat in places like lod, yaffo, acco, and haifa, those arab communities are still there. On the other hand, in 1948 every Jewish community in the "west bank" had been destroyed. Not only did the jordanians destroy every synagogue and desecrate the ancient Jewish cemetary on the mount of olives, they didn't even allow Israel to collect the remains of the community that was massacred in gush-etzion for 4 years, so that they could have a proper burial.

Back to that 2-state-solution, while the media gaslight you about how the arabs "want gaza, e. Jerusalem, and the w. bank for a future state" (remember the offer they refused in 2000--mentioned above?), their maps don't show any Israel and their schools curiculums tell their kids that they will "redeem palestine in blood and fire, from the river to the sea.". That claim to the land cuts both ways. The land isn't occupied, it's disputed and if Israel builds communities on public land, so be it. BTW the Israeli courts have been quick to order the destruction of Jewish communities if arabs made any proof of owning the land.

And no, they didn't get there before us, and I'm not talking about Biblical history. In spite of the roman's best efforts at genocide and 'ethnic cleansing', there were still Jews there when the moslems made their conquests. The country remained a sparsely populated, tree less, malarial waste land. In the mid19th century Moshe Montefiore, and later the Rothchilds, financed the growth of Jewish communities and immigration. That created economic activity and jobs, and there was an influx of arab immigrants who came looking for work. The british colonial government accellerated that trend. We didn't take anything from them until they lost their war of genocidal aggression in 1948.

Signing off for Shabbat and Shavuot.

The arabs see the political disarray in Israel and percieve Israel as be weakened and maybe think they can undermine or destroy Israel as a "Jewish state". As for hamas, they seem to see this as an opportunity to upstage the PA/PLO, and get political influence in the "w.bank"

I mean, what specifically set this current course of events in motion. The spark that started the fire. I haven’t seen it reported that the Palestinians just woke up a few days ago, and decided to cause trouble.

well, Iran supplies Hamas and probably directs them to a certain extent.

Iran must feel like it’s in their interests to have this violence right now.

Really can’t think of any reason that happened this year why Iran would feel emboldened to do this...
