Currently building my first AR10 on a 18" Aero platform. I've used some LPVO's in the past, but never owned one. The max distance I'll shoot at on a regular basis is 150yds. I'm thinking I'd be happy with a 1-8X. What are some of your opinions on the $300-$500 range? I've been looking at Vortex and some of the primary arms offerings.

I used the vortex strile eagle 1-6. But definitely wish i would have gone the 1-8 though. Still a great scope. But rather have that little extra.

Bass pro has a Burris 1-6 with their p.e.a.r mount right now for 350. I haven’t mounted mine yet but the glass looks clear, throw lever is solid. Only feature it looks to be missing is a return to zero.

Dealer demo Vortex PST Gen II 1-6 MRAD for $499 at Euro Optic:
    https://www.eurooptic.com/Vortex-Vi...-VMR-2-MRAD-Like-New-Demo-Scope-PST-1607.aspx

If you're gonna buy a new one instead, going price is $599 and AAOptics has the MRAD version in stock:
    https://aaoptics.com/VIPER®-PST-GEN-II-1-6X24-VMR-2-MRAD-RIFLESCOPE_p_651.html

If you want cheaper than these, my recommendation is the Burris RT-6. Better glass and reticle than the Strike Eagles.
Genn 2 pst would be a solid choice in that price range.
