      I carried a 10 mm STI 6" barreled 2011 as my last 1911 type when Artheritis hit my hands. Extended mag gave me 21 rounds of 10 mm. Build and finish was great.

      I carry 2 Colt .45 Rail guns, 1 AR 15, 1 Beretta 1301, 1 Sig 229, and a Ruger10-22. 1000 plus rounds for each. Load-out for out of state travel.

      I use a Kibler SMR in .45 and have not lost a single deer. You pay for the kit but get one of the best Flintlock locks made. I don't see any different shooting either caps or flint as both have their small things you need to do to shoot good. Right now Kibler has 3 rifle kits in most calibers...

      It is much more intense and you learn some moves that you are not shown in the states or maybe not shown at all now. I was shown a move to stop someone grabbing your gun that breaks the elbow and dislocates the shoulder in one flowing move.

      Some of the best training I have seen was in Krav Maga in classes in Israel. It is a real mix of moves that work against an armed person in close hand to hand. The big drawback to any skill learned if you don't practice them, you lose the reaction needed to perform them right.

      Gunny never said a word about it while training young recruits. I don't remember Mr. Browning saying anything about it. If the inventor and a man that carried a 1911 through a war, a police action, and what ever Vietnam is called, did not say anything about dropping the slide why worry about it?
