I made a UDS and my wife informed me she hates smoked anything. Anyone interested in a cheap smoker?

Any place in Ft. Wayne area for sausage supplies?

Try Miller Scales just north of Fernhill Ave. They have machinery and spices for butchering meat. 260-482-1548

      Those were the days

I remember buying my first gun in 1962. I was 12 years old and I did it myself without an adult. It was a single shot .22 lever action rifle for $21.00 I put it on lay-a-way and paid weekly until it was mine. First round in it downed a big crow sitting in a tree. Times have changed.

I VOTED (I carried) how about you?

The wife and I voted yesterday morning at Indiana Wesleyan University in Fort Wayne. The.380 stayed in the car. People were courteous and kept their distance. I put my mask on after entering the building. It took just 40 minutes in and out.

The M-1 Helmet, for the old vets

I remember wearing a steel pot. It was heavy but when the bullets started to fly in Nam, I was glad to have it. I climbed inside of it too often.

I guess I was lucky. Being in the jungle for 30 day missions I didn't see many officers except my idiot and dangerous ROTC LT

      Hearing loss

I have had bad tinnitus since Vietnam. Sometimes it wakes me in the middle of the night. I have been able to put it in the background most of the time but it is ALWAYS there. A few years ago I went to the VA and was able to get a very nice set of hearing aids that amplify ambient sounds but...

The Kind of Men Who Carry a Pocket Knife

I carry a Benchmade Mini-Barrage. It's going back tomorrow for its second repair in as many years. How can it go bad just sitting in my pocket? Not happy but it cost me over $125 years ago so I'll keep carrying it.

      Nasty ole SKS refinishing.....

I haven't thought about my SKS in years. One day in Vietnam my platoon got called out for a popup mission. Now, I don't remember too much about the mission but the Air Force F-4's hit a ammo cache and it started to blow. We CA'd out and set up perimeter around the cache but because the cache...
