      Single Stage/Turret/Progressive

If my reloading setup blew away today and I had to replace with new, I would buy a Dillon 550 and a Rock Chucker. The 550 will do everything you need outside of a fully automated machine. Having a single stage bolted to the bench is just to darn handy.

Small Pistol Primers in .45acp Experience?

If I were to ever acquire a significant amount of SPP .45 brass, I wouldn’t hesitate to reload it. I just figured I would use magnum SPP. I accidentally picked up a couple thousand Mag SPP primers a couple of years ago and need to use them for something.

As if your life depended on it…

Depends on the day and length of travel. This morning I am waiting on my daughter and about to make the 3-4 mile trip to drop her off at school. Small handgun on belt, Swiss Army knife, wallet, keys, utility flashlight, phone, watch Vehicle: depends but both have a small tool box, jumper...

      Bulk ammo

The issue isn’t the quantity since I am sure people order 5k at a time. I have seen customers come into the gun shop and buy that much ammunition in one trip. The issue is the shipping. Ammunition is heavy! A case of 9mm is 30lbs. I try to max out the shipping when ordering online and the...

Then buy 5 - 10 cases. Usually you get free shipping with a case order. I have never seen a price break for multiple cases.

      Selling an SR1911

Everyone should own a 1911. Yeah they are also available in 9mm. Got a thought. .45 ammo costs twice as much as 9mm. But a 1911 holds half the ammo of a Glock. So 1911 costs the same to shoot as a Glock!

      Road trip warrior

You are correct. If you are just passing through. Problem is I have a sales rep in New York and have had to travel there. Luckily for me we filled a position in New England and I don’t anticipate needing to go out there anymore. Most of my travel is KY, IN, MI, OH, WI and the dreaded IL.

Op has a two part question. 1) what can you carry to New England states? Particularly New York 2) what do I carry when traveling in the Midwest? #1 - New York. Nothing really. I had to sterilize the car. I ended up taking an unloaded shotgun locked in a hard case with the ammo stored...

      Excuses for buying guns.

Local gun shop knows to just throw the receipt away before I leave the store.
