      Which sub $1000 1911?

      Same gun with upgrades like front strap checkering, adjustable sights and fiber optic front and flared magwell. Not sure about the trigger but super smooth but that may be the same on the R-1.

      i am shooting a Remington R-1 enhanced and really like it. Very accurate and it is the 4.25 in model. I think it was around $700.00

      handgun hunting

      I shot a ton of rabbits when I lived in Alaska with a 22lr H&R revolver. Some squirrels with the same pistol and just put a green dot on a S&W22a for this year. I will try to upload pics of the rabbits the look pretty good when they are changing from white to brown in the spring.
