      Round in Chamber

      I carry with a round in the chamber. I do keep the physical safety on, though. I figure I can slide the safety off as I'm de-holstering.

      My first post (in response to a post about closely monitoring the thread for people's thoughts) in this thread stated: Your post directly thereafter stated: I answered yes and you said, "Well then, there ya go." Surely you can understand my confusion.

      So is your suggestion that she use her purse as a self-defense weapon or illegally carry a firearm on federal property in her purse? Personally, neither sounds like a good option.

      I second this. My wife works at a VA Medical Center (federal property) and I want her to have something for self defense. Unfortunately, I don't believe she can even have a firearm in the vehicle when she parks.
