Thanks for the rep! Hey, it was 1978, and I was 300 miles from home (away from my parents) up at General Motors Institute in Flint, MI. And I was pledging a fraternity. Oddly enough, I was only at that school for a year.
There was also somewhat of a language barrier with my professor. His English was a little rough. He used to pause while writing on the blackboard and turn to the class and say, "I wish you coulda speaka Chinese so I could explain what I try to say!"
Thanks for the rep! I remembered Bachman/King because I used to work for BMG Music/Doubleday Books and remember when Bachman's book (the name of which escapes me at the moment) came out.
