In many ways, the absence of public acknowledgement of D-Day is just a continuation of current trends. Colleges that do not play the National Anthem at sporting events, individuals who are disgusted/shamed by a display of the United States flag, a government that continues to take away from the...
I wear Bates work boots with side zipper and composite safety toe. Way lighter than a steel toe and won't conduct electricity(or set off those evil metal detectors). Once you try side zippers, I am afraid that you will forever forsake lace up boots. As I get older, easier is my motto.
I really like my GSG1911. New grips and sights to make it match mt favorite 1911. So far it has eaten everything that I have fed it. The faux silencer looks quite cool on it, but has an adverse affect on accuracy.
I added the bottom rail accessory to mine and put a Grippod on it. Works great while shooting with sling assist and if you are firing from the bench just deploy to pod and away you go. You should play around with the gas adjuster some. It is possible to use it to reduce recoil and still have...
I use the .308 168 gr match in my DPMS LR308. Not quite as good as Federal Gold but not nearly as expensive either. If you are not shooting past 250 yards you probably will not even notice the difference. Even then, if you do not have a sub MOA gun it really won't matter.
1. Heavy - DPMS LR308, 24" heavy match barrel, scope, Harris bipod, Magpul PRS stock, no magazine = 15.4 pounds.
2. Heavier - Savage 110 BA 300 Win Mag with scope, bipod, no magazine = 19.7 pounds.
Had a great day at the range today. My only question is "Why were there so many more people there today than in weeks past?" I am beginning to think that most people are fair weather shooters. You just can't beat a good zero degree day to burn powder. It keeps the barrel cool.
The newest handgun to join my flock was an FNP 45 Tactical in November. Since then, it has somehow grown a Trijicon RMR 3 sight and an Insight M6 light/laser. The next addition that I hope for is a 45 Osprey suppressor. This is the best .45 handgun that I have ever fired. Absolutely love...
Savage 110 BA in 300 Win Mag. Super accurate and with it's weight and muzzle break recoil is really a joke. Using managed recoil rounds, it kicks less than my .223 Remington 700. And boy is it LOUD!!!!
Home Depot has a better deal than that going on this week. In the flyer for this week there is an add for Rubbermaid storage containers. It is in a box labelled "More Saving. We're lowering the cost of storage" and "New, lower price". The new price is $19.97. Was $19.94. ??????
