Mossberg 500 Variants vs. Remington 870 variants

I own both...both serve a different purpose. Greats guns, but I think I favor the controls on the 870.

My new Remington 870 Express Tactical 12 Gauge

Picked up the same Remmy as you apparently, but wasnt a fan of the factory stock. Used a Knoxx Industries on a previous 870, but wasnt a fan. Had a tendancy to pinch your finger if youre grip wasnt just right. Looking for an alternative, and the Enidine looks like a decent prospect.

      Barrel Porting

Thanks all. Porting consideration is for a shotgun, Rem. 870 to be specific, and Ive never had any personal experience save for a higher end Beretta Sporting Clays gun. That was near recoilless, but im sure that wasnt just the porting.

      Barrel Porting

I've heard conflicting information, so I'm trying to get the right picture...Does porting a barrel affect range or accuracy in any way? Specifically on long guns and shotguns.

shotgun stocks: pistol/breachers grip vs collapsible

collapsible. more versatile and practical, unless as a secondary or strictly breaching weapon.
