      Holster recommendations for 4 o'clock

Just purchased this holster off Amazon. Been wearing it for about 2 weeks. Very impressed with it. Fits my Sig 320 like a glove and very comfortable to wear. Nice soft backing on it. And you can't beat the price...

Smith and Wesson M&P 9 M2.0 Safety Lever

You already have a safety. It's called your brain. :) Seriously, not trying to be a smart ass, but training and proper handling procedures are far more reliable than any mechanical safety. And if you ever have to make it go bang in an emergency or under stress, not having a safety to deal...

As if your life depended on it…

EDC handgun, extra mag, Leatherman, watch, phone, 2 credit cards, some cash, wallet, and reading glasses on my person. BOB bag with 3-4 days of "goodies" in the truck. Not real worried about SHFT situation, but more concerned about mechanical breakdown, car accident, or weather issues while out...

      Prepping for Urban Survival

OK, when we think about prepping, we normally think about bugging out to a different and safer location. Or having to trek miles with only with our BOB on our backs. That is all well and good. But what if that is not an option due to age, health, or physical inability (Be honest with yourself...

The ONE SONG you CANNOT stand.

The only good thing about this song was the cartoon of a tall thin rat singing it to a scared piece of cheese on a mouse trap. Always loved it when the trap slammed down on his stupid ass!

Multi-tools...what are you carrying, and how?

Leatherman PST II in left front pocket. Not real big or fancy, but then again, I am not rebuilding an engine or installing a new kitchen with it. If I need some serious work done, than I get a serious tool. But it does the job when I need some lightweight "adjustments" done. For day to day use...

Why Prep? The surprisingly solid mathematical case.

Those equations made my head hurt! But a good article nevertheless

      Starting search for 22LR semi-auto

I have a Henry AR 7 and like it. Easy to throw in a backpack and accurate out to about 30 yards. Fun to shoot and not to picky about ammo. For what you appear to be looking to do with a .22 rifle, it would be a good option. But I would still recommend a 10/22 as my 1st choice. Just can't beat them.

      Starting search for 22LR semi-auto

If you cannot find a Marlin 60 at a good price, look for a Glenfield 60. 90% the same as a Marlin (made by Marlin in fact), but cheaper wood and pressed markings. Shoots every bit as good as a Marlin 60 and just as reliable.

There's no turning back after this!!

Hoppes #9 comes in as a close 2nd. I would wear that stuff as cologne if I could.

      Best Pocket Carry…

How can anyone disagree with an LCP Max? Not my 1st choice of calibers, but with a 10 rd mag and hardly any weight, it would be tough to beat.

Try to have a years meds on hand for yourself.

I understand rotation and do it as a matter of daily life with my food preps as well as my current meds. My question is more aligned to a situation where you have no more "incoming" meds to rotate. All the ones that I get have a 1 year "discard by date" on them. If the SHTF and the supply chain...

Try to have a years meds on hand for yourself.

A question on a similar note. How long are most prescription meds viable AFTER their "discard by" date? Some of mine are getting long in the tooth.
