Replacing a toggle link for a Luger

Try inquiring on the website Pistole Parabellum. It has some of the most knowledgeable Luger mechanics around.

Sorry, that's 1300 yards, not feet.

      Long range impact lights

We have used them on NRL matches in Colorado, on targets up to 1300 feet. They performed well, and are a necessity for scoring at that distance. They were quite bright during daylight and we had zero malfunctions. Highly recommend them.

      German luger help

Production of the Luger pistol required over 600 separate machining operations. The final product had some hand fitting between the parts by skilled craftsmen to insure functioning. That is why all the major parts are numbered, and interchanging them can lead to malfunctions. you might want to...

      German luger help

Agreed. Ammunition is the first place to start. Most of the ones I shoot like 115 grain FMJ bullets, Winchester white box seems to work well. The recoil from lower powered rounds isn't sufficient to reset the action.

WTS: Smith and Wesson DA 45

Look at the butt of the revolver where the lanyard ring is located. It may show a U.S. property stamp also.

WTS: Smith and Wesson DA 45

This is a model 1917, originally produced for WWI, when production of 1911s couldn't keep up with demand. They were chambered in 45ACP and used half or full moon clips to hold the rimless cartridges. There appear to be British proof marks on the weapon, indicating use by England. The grips are...

Winchester 1873 first model sporting rifle

I have an 1873 chambered for 44-40. Mechanically good, but I have had issues trying to find the best cast bullet that provides acceptable accuracy. I'm trying to keep pressures low, and I thought soft lead at the correct bore diameter would be the ticket. Leadeye's comment about jacket...

      Wanted: quail, Chukars or pigeons

I raised quail commercially for several years in Johnson County. Although I no longer raise Bobwhites, I have a source for pen raised birds near Morgan County. PM me for contact information.

      Arisaka Type 99 Sporter

The barrel "set back" is interesting. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Arisakas were cheap, and $15.00 would buy a nice one with aircraft sights and monopod. For an extra $10.00, gunsmiths would cut off barrel threads and produce a rifle that would chamber the popular .300 savage case, but...

      WWII Japanese officer's sword

I have been buying since about 1985 and all came from the east coast. Really haven't come across any examples worth buying in Indiana. I was contacted by a collector in Chicago who has direct ties to Japan, but he was only buying, not selling. Valuation is still a concern.
