Ring around lead round after chambering???

No, not as badly as I'd expect from the condition of the bullet.

Ring around lead round after chambering???

No, I believe I managed to rule that one out, same problem at minimum length. I just recently read about article on throating issues on 1911's that I believe may be the problem. My Google fu came up with nothing when I tried to research the issue

Ring around lead round after chambering???

I have been working on casting some of my first .45 rounds for my Para expert 1911 and I'm having some issues that I'm hoping those with more experience can help with. The bullet is a 230 gr. TC. The first 10-20 rounds I loaded functioned fine and ran better than expected, however I am running...

      Variance in load data?

So, to follow up with everyone, I test fired 10 rounds each, one at 1.170 and the other at 1.2, both fired and functioned flawlessly and consistently and showed no signs of over pressuring. I appreciate everyone's help and input.

      Variance in load data?

Thanks guys. So to answer questions yes I have the Lee bullet, (these are rounds I have casted myself with the Lee mold). So I loaded 10 of each. The Lyman data allowed the bullet to chamber with no issues, however the lee data would not allow the round to fully chamber. So I gradually shortened...

      Variance in load data?

I'm currently working on a load for a 230 gn lead TC for my 45. Acp.....unfortunately I'm finding a pretty large difference in OAL between my Lyman cast bullet handbook and my Lee 2nd addition. The Lyman states 5.2 gn at 1.170 OAL and the Lee states 5.1 at 1.270...that's 0.100 difference...which...

      Cast bullet weight variance

So, I know I'm bringing up an old thread here....but I recently casted my first batch of 45. They are 230 gn TC however I'm getting weights ranging from 230-238....my question is this....would it be safe to start 10% below suggested charge weight for these rounds and work my way up (or down if...

      223 Small Base Dies Necessary?

I believe the firearm it's fired through plays a big part as well. I have an issue where my cheapo ATI 223. Upper will not feed my loads correctly and will not let my bolt close completely, however my friends S&W-15 fires them with no issues and fairly good results....I've come to conclusion my...

9mm 115gr. FMJ with Bullseye Load?

I know I'm probably resurrecting an old thread, but I have safely loaded 115 montana gold FMJ at 5.0 1.120 oal however my Lee auto disk tends to drop between 4.6 and 4.9, so far 100 rounds with no issues. Data for this powder is difficult to find and for that reason I will be phasing it out, so...

BE-86: good for 9mm but Alliant load data seems a bit hot

I made a similar load with BE-86 myself. Personally it ran fine through my glock 19, and my Jericho 941 and is a standard load I commonly use for target practice. No issues so far, to me it was really comparable to bullseye.

Considering a Crossbow - Any suggestions?

Personally, I hunt with a Barnett brotherhood. Along with rage broadheads it's been an effective bow, very accurate out to 40yrds ( I haven't tried going out past 40 yet) it is also decently priced. Just my opinion.

      Southern Indiana Reloading Shop

I'll be in the area later this week...looking forward to checking it out and hopefully finding some gooday componets to start loading 300ACC.

      Crossbows

Barnett brotherhood, pretty inexpensive, and has been reliable. I've been using rage crossbow mechanical broadheads as well.

      Indiana Constitutional Carry - HB1022 (2018)

Sounds like some things may have been slid into 1424 that we are not aware of.

      Carrying on a motorcycle

True, my saddle bags don't lock unfortunately so I try not to leave my firearm in there unless I'm at work (semi-secured lot with surveillance cameras). The way my OWB holster and my chaps fit it probably wouldn't work very well, I may give it a try though when I go out tomorrow.
