Didn't think they were rare. Friend of mine shoots one with a dot sight on it. Recently saw a local cop with one in a belt slide holster. Always thought they were neat.
Alright dudes. Thank you for the Intell. Maybe give Bobcat Armament a call too. He purchased my used Square Deal and upgraded me to the new 650. He may buy it all back. Lots to mull over right now.
I know Dillon presses used to retain 90 percent of their purchase price. Is that still the case in this weird market we have today?
With increasing prices I would like to cash out and be done with the sport. Have a virtually new XL650 with all the Dillon add on stuff.
I don't buy targets in order to save money. Use cardboard and a 1" square of orange duct tape. Use the little c clamps to hang the target on old conveyor belt hung between two railroad ties in front of a berm.
I keep consolidating and selling off. Just unbolted my like new Dillon XL650 off the bench. Done priced me out of the sport. Planning on cashing out guns too. Sad and sick to say the least.
Used to carry an old Targus backpack. Ears and eyes, c clamps, orange duct tape, small screw driver to adj sights, Otis mobil cleaning kit. Pull an old kids wagon with guns and ammo and targets. Gun club target shooting of all kinds. Was a lot of fun.
I don't buy guns that need a lot of cleaning. I use whatever is on the workbench out in the garage. Hit it with compressed air and back in service it goes. You may try a bore snake out in the field with a silicone wipe down before you get home to avoid the mess.
Yes all the guns I bought increased in price. Gave me yet another reason to cash out.
I too was lugging all kinds of stuff to the range. Makes more cleaning and more work handloading.
With the cost of everything these days.....I got to be done.
Kydex is the way. Clean and slick. Leather holds onto moisture, dirt, oil, and stretches and weighs more. Carry guns regardless of holster will take a beating. Glock in kydex is like peanut butter and jelly.
Maybe for the back yard beater pest control gun or if you don't have a lot of money and need something cheap for a hunting season or two. Worser ways to pee away thirty bucks.
Handloading is the way for accuracy. I wasn't happy with any factory fodder in an AR. Match the twist to grain weight and tune your loads. Should bring that group right in to one hole in your target. Start saving your brass and picking up loading components when on sale.
