This seems logical to me, since, as I understand it, the firearms have a new owner at the execution of the will.
Like you, I'll bet there are more complicated ways also, and I'd like to hear those too.
Anyone know the appropriate procedure for an Indiana gun owner to bring back to Indiana firearms willed to him by an Illinois FOID card holder once the will is executed?
That Shell station is only a couple of blocks from the Police station, as I recall. That adds another count of irony to the mix.
My sister used to live in that area, and I always worried about her safety. Luckily, (sorta) she now calls a local nursing facility home.
I moved from Lafayette to...
Donated to NRA-ILA yesterday. Observation: For a gun which has no other purpose than to kill people, my AR seems to have thousands of mystery rounds thru it. Perhaps someone who was at the march can provide an explanation, since there were so many experts there.
I wouldn't give up my '43 Inland for twice that price . Make no mistake...these rifles are beautiful pieces of history, regardless of condition or rarity, to say nothing of low recoil and fun to shoot.
My granddaughter had the same issue with my truck. That was years ago. To this day, she calls them "winder winders." (pronounced winn-der wynders) I can neither confirm nor deny responsibility for that. :):
What's more likely these days for me, is to forget I'm wearing it, and to carry in a "forbidden zone". Luckily, I haven't yet done that while open carrying.

2) When the chips are down, ice is on everything, folks are sliding off and crashing, and sliding backwards downhill, a good set of...
In response to the op, ....perhaps taking your granddaughter to the range?
Last time was a fun time. She had her familiar Kricket single shot and was doing great.
Then she asked to shoot my 10-22 dressed up like an M1 carbine. She proceeded to put up an even more impressive 10 shot group.
After...
That's neat !!
For us, it's just a lot of fun. Early on in the collecting, we didn't put them out one year, and it really disappointed our daughter and granddaughter. Turns out they enjoyed it at least as much as we did. Now they are adding to the collection. They added four just this year, and...
Yeah, it does kinda look like it, doesn't it? My wife thought it was unique because she had never seen a nutcracker of the character "Clara" from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet. Now I'm wondering if it's really "Fritz"! I figure she's holding another nutcracker.... so it's a twofer. :):
