      An inexpensive but pretty reliable Taurus G2 in the backseat in an unseen yet discreetly and easily retrievable location... I have 8000+ rounds in this thing, replaced with the stainless steel guiderod and that was all.

      Cost to have a car painted?

      If you just want a cover-up, you can get it done for 400-1000. MAACO ran a promo not long ago for 299. If you want it done properly, or if the metal needs attention, dings removed, base coat applied, etc, look at 3500 and up.

      Agreed! That was why I backed off. No legitimate business would write a check to a stranger. I told him I would only accept PayPal with 5% service charge. For 20+ years doing PayPal, I haven't lost a nickle yet.
