Hi Justamom. Try shooting these different models at a range before pulling the trigger on a purchase. .45 polymer compacts usually have a lot of recoil and can be difficult to manage under stress (self-defense/combat situation) without a lot of practice.

I carry the Shield concealed just about everywhere. It fits comfortably IWB/OWB and on my ankle.
IMO go with Raven concealment, they are custom and more expensive ($79 for the Shield) but worth every penny (super comfortable, life time guarantee, same holster can be worn IWB and OWB)...
Imagine an accurate, combat-reliable, compact fighting pistol that is very easy to conceal and control under stress. That is the concept behind the Shield. So far, it has been great.
