Whats a fair price for a 54 caliber percussion T/C Hawken and availability of caps and BP

Cast your own bullets for the 54 and the availability of components is no big deal. I have a T/C White Mountain hunter. It’s an accurate thumper. I’ve never regretted that purchase.

      Low cost water filter project

I think I need Navarre 1095 to read this test for me. (Just kidding) never heard of the bio film but it kinda makes since. I have heard and seen sand filters work and that the charcoal makes it taste better, My Sawyer works but it still tastes like the source water aka pond water.

Kentucky long rifles, am I late to the party?

https://kiblerslongrifles.com/collections/rifle-kits Build your own, these look like high quality from everything I’ve read. The kit is not cheap and goes up with the grade of wood you pick.

Prepping spare parts for long-term storage

Brownells has several products for storage and rust prevention. Rust Veto is supposed to be close to the old cosmoline and there’s rust blox-vapor-tabs

Need INGO info dump on Marlin 336C in .30-30

I’ve added the XS sight rail and front sling swivel band. Now where is the proper place to install the rear stud? Does somebody have a 336 with a factory sling mounts and could measure the rear stud position ? Thanks

I'm new and your 50-post rule sucks! Please change it for my convenience.

I do believe this is my 50th posting!! It only took me 8-10 years. I’d better slow down or I’ll be a post ho.

Need INGO info dump on Marlin 336C in .30-30

I added some photos to the original post (first time) the rear band did require removing the front sight which I was doing anyway, Hood removal and 2 screws. Front band 1 Screw, found some grime and a little corrosion under the front hand guard (glad I was in there) the rear band was a tight fit...

      Old percussion cap rifle

I think Mr Leman would be proud to know something he made is in use 185 years later. Good job!

Need INGO info dump on Marlin 336C in .30-30

New sights I found a JM 336 not long ago (1979 build date by S/N) and today I finally got my MidwayUSA order with a new rear band with sling stud. I’ll add the rear sling mount also. For sights (buck horns aren’t for me) XS sight rail I’ll probably just use the peeps but I wanted the option to...

      Another P365 variant rolls out

I was able to see one of these yesterday also the sight is interesting, it’s like a flush fit RMR without batteries (fiber-optic and tritium) trying to drop the slide with the SAS controls was difficult. I’d like to see a Hellcat and a P365xl to compare. Lots of good choices for small EDC guns...

Friday Night Steel at Marion County Fish & Game

The Match last night was a lot of fun. I thought I did well but was only 5 of 7 in my class. It was was great to have some first time competitors. MCFG does a good job of hosting a safe and fun match.
