      "Modern" Percussion Muzzleloader Question

What would be the ideal twist rate? It would be meant for critters.

      "Modern" Percussion Muzzleloader Question

I know there is a muzzleloader thread but it doesn't really get a lot of traction. Feel free to move if necessary. My question, I'm looking at purchasing a side lock percussion cap muzzleloader for "primitive muzzleloader" hunts. Currently, my only muzzleloader is a TC Encore that I've had for...

      Anschutz 184

I saw those last night while I was looking around. Those appear to be factory correct from some of the other threads I had read. I sent them a message to see if they would fit. I don't see why they wouldn't.

      Anschutz 184

There are a few. Sadly the factory rifle sights are gone. Will need to try and locate a set.

      Anschutz 184

Anyone know anything about the Savage Anschutz 184 Sporter? I picked one up recently and there isn't a lot on the interwebs about them. Nice, handy sized rifle that I'm guessing is going to be an awesome squirrel gun for me.

      2023 turkey season

I killed one with a 20ga TSS this spring. I won't go back. They pattern as well as my 870 with 3-1/2" LBXR's #5 @40yds as my SXP with a 3" #9 Apex. The shotgun is lighter, the recoil is lighter, the shot is denser and going as fast or faster than a 12ga lead load. The bird I shot threw his...

      Meat Deals

If you're ever out so the southeast the IGA in Brookville usually has some kind of deal going on. They had a sale on Thu and Fri (didn't see this post until Sunday, sorry) and I picked up some chicken quarters, 4pk for $4.xx and some T-bones for like $10 a lb. But they did have whole ribeyes for...

      Meat Deals

It looks like barf in a jar, honestly. I canned up some deer a couple years ago to try it out and it was honestly the most tender deer I've ever eaten. Use a pressure canner and follow the directions, super easy. I raw packed mine and added some Montreal Steak seasoning and it was awesome.
