      2024 Deer Season

      100% agree with the quiet time in the woods. I am of firm belief that the experience is the reward, a trophy is what you deem so. Big buck, doe, or seeing something you never dreamt you would see in in real life. I have harvested some big deer in my 42 years but by far the best hunt in my life...

      How did everybody do on the state park hunts this week? I was drawn for the late Pokagon hunt. I have hunted to place twice time 1 lots of deer and shots. time 2 my shot at noon and the first deer to be checked of 3.

      44mag for Jacobs 4 horn ram?

      I hunted Wilderness Hunting Lodge in that area and the jacobs sheep there you could take a 500 yd shot if you wanted to or "stalk in" with a ball peen hammer. take the 44 and limit your shot they have a no kill policy so if you decide to make it more difficult you might find it a better time.

      I was in the quandry of 458. 50, or 450 three years ago and it came down to rights. the 50 beowolf is running all production through their facility which limits the diversity. The bullet for the 458 is similar to the 45-70. the 450 uses the pistol 45 0.451 versus 0.458. with hornady bushmaster...

      Hog Hunting Recommendations

      wilderness hunting lodge in TN. is great spot something for every type of hunter also multiple cabins so you can request having a lodge to yourselves to party in. Hogs range from trophy boar trapped int eh wild to full on can hunts. 1,000 acre tracts in the mountains. also Nashville is close by.

      Deer hunting from a house??? What is the law?

      Ive shot a few out the back door before letting the dogs out. makes dragging them to the shed pretty easy. I think as long as you are not endangering your neighbors person or belongings it is a county by county thing.

      .308 will give you the most choices with bullet weight. if you are in a stand carry weight is secondary to dropping the game as humanely as possible
