      Lefties are really hard to find, and often cost a premium, so if he can shoot a righty well, stick with getting righties. Regarding AR platforms, get a molded brass catcher. There is one out that is two part, so it can be a catcher or a deflector, so that should help .

      I use them mostly for practicing drawing and getting off the first shot. I think that is key to most close encounter experiences.

      Glock 43x. You keep the same sight picture, trigger feel as your 19. I think the grip is the same length too. The width and barrel are smaller/shorter thatn your 19.       22LR Pistol Purchase recommendations

      I have one of those. Works nicely. It goes about 1 1/4 inch down the barrel. Use a snap cap, and laser target set up.

      I go way back to when I had a 'Grendel' 380, with the blind mag. It's long gone. My P11 is my 'car gun', and carry a P3AT in a wallet for casual carry. IT's brutal to shoot, but not for an extended gun fight at distance. Quick and close is what it is for. Definitely a P32 is easier to shoot...
