I ended up just drilling and tapping the receiver (mostly straight...) and adding a rail for an optic. For me being an amateur and my first time with this, it worked pretty well. One hole wasn't perfectly in line, and it made the screw go in at a bit of an angle, but it's holding tight.
I recently got a cheap Maverick 88, and was pondering if it was possible to mill an RMR (Actually a Holosun, but RMR footprint) onto the back of it, similar to how the Mossberg 940 Pro has, versus installing a picatinny rail and mounting it up higher.
Is this do-able, or a bad idea?
I have a Rugged 45 that I use for my micro-k. I keep it in the long configuration, just because I'm usually too lazy to change it out. It's amazingly quiet with some 165 grain subsonic rounds.
It's significantly easier to spoof caller ID than most people think. I do it quite often for my job, where I need the recipient caller to think I'm an internal employee or an acquaintance of theirs. Or without even spoofing, you could just quickly get a number in the KS area code on Skype, or a...
The owner sent me an email last night, and it sounds like it'll be taken care of. Neither him or me are "happy" with the whole situation since it sucks for both of us, but it's being taken care of properly now.
This is pretty much where I'm at. However the owner of the range has only offered to replace the cover and split the tax stamp cost, leaving me with the majority of the associated costs. He explains that an FFL transfer fee could be waived if I had SilencerCo ship the suppressor there, but it...
This is how I see it too. Sure, the item ended up at the end of the range, and had some minor cosmetic damage. However, it's the range that prevented the cease-fire, and allowed people to continue shooting at it for hours, leading to it getting hit by multiple rounds.
I may be interested in chatting more with you. Based on that description, you may have shown up shortly before I did. Surely there's not that many ranges with blown up Omegas this weekend fitting that description.
From my understanding, they can not take possession of a suppressor like this unless for repair. And it'd also be interesting to see if they indeed entered it into their books or not, since they did force possession of an NFA item.
