America Is Going to Be Targeted for a Massive Terrorist Attack...Will You Be Ready?

Right on! People think that the event is more important than their personal safety. Gotta add that shopping in the mall is out, exception being food supplies from grocery store. You can wager a solid bet that people are toting hardware and spare mags at most stores. Not saying social isn't...

      18 y/o Handgun purchase

Had a dicey meet up with a guy and didnt disclose his age prior. Illinois car plates, no drivers license to show his residence, but also wanted me to sell to his Mom who clearly was over 21. I declined, had my wife with me, and she has her LTCH, and I did too.(Wife was backup) No thanks to the...

      What is your carry gun?

I guess the G45-5 is my fav. Also tote around either a 5 shot snubbie, or a Kahr CM9.(Mostly pocket carry smaller models). Sometimes, nostalgia hits me, and I break out my S&W M10-5 , 4in tapered bbl. couple speedloaders, and Bianchi #7 pancake rig to holster. Not on the vote list, except under...

Why does this torture me so?

Being in NW Ind, an order sent to Indy, then my town, gets here in a couple days. I ordered something from Elk Grove , Il, and it went to Mississippi before it got to Indy. After Indy, 2 days , it got here. Took 10 days to go to Mississippi though. Found a place in Ft Wayne that had my item...

Reliable places to buy used guns?

Yep, new is expensive. Pre owned is little cheaper, broke in, and usually safe. Most of mine are pre owned, in great shape, no issues. Mostly owned, hardly fired. Bought a M10 S&W revolver back in the mid 80's, had some bluing wear from holster, lock up was tight, no end shake. Still have it...

No LEO Coverage Overnight - Washington County, Indiana

A lot of good points brought forward. Yes as a LEO, you do alter your lifestyle for your job. The demands are many, less rewards, in rough times, and sometimes you can do some good where you can. I've been told you are in a fishbowl of life, and everyone watches you swim around. The video...

What is the most reliable handgun for Self Defense under $400

Good thread reply! I like the GP100 series, built to last. Carried an SP101 for a bit too. A little heavy vs an Airweight J Frame. Both are well made. Loved those Stainless guns.

What is the most reliable handgun for Self Defense under $400

Nice score! There are some that think 40 cal is going away, but I know guys who carry them daily. I carried one for over 5 years and no problem or complaints. You learn to shoot them well. That is a great price for a great firearms

No LEO Coverage Overnight - Washington County, Indiana

If towns keep playing their politics on their PD's, they all will be looking for help. I know budgets have always been a fight to pass, but when Emergency Calls go to voice mail, something better happen. There are some salty Retired Lawdogs who might take up an offer to return and answer...

      Is the g19 obsolete

Have owned and carried for LEO, Security. and personal protection for over 20 years. Don't see anytime soon moving on to another. Uhm, except for a G45-5. Best of both worlds, but my G19-3 is in my nightstand.

      Excuses for buying guns.

Never leave new box laying around. Don't make any list that describes model, value, or current info. Answer like this: This isn't new honey, its an old beater that has been here forever! Remember Old Uncle XXXXX and he had these. Sorry he passed away at 98 years old. Have fun at the Mall!
