Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapses in Baltimore

In situations like this I'm reminded of the end of the movie Sully. Over analysis, moving towards an assumption, of what was an accident led to forgetting that people don't always react predictably in unknown situations. There is always that human factor in accidents. I've never seen a news...

My guess, most pictures I've seen of these big container ships are single prop/ rudder.

Antique or reproduction flintlock pistol please help…

Looks pretty new to me, a 200 and change year old gun looks more weathered, particularly the wood.

I'll be curious to see if it gets much worse as the influx of illegals continues.

There's always something new and interesting out there, I figure the gardener and my sons can decide what to do with my stuff after I'm gone.

Another thing I remember about propeller/rudder boats is that when you use reverse it pulls the stern around to the left. Probably has to do with propeller rotation but I used that to get the boat square to the dock. You also had to eb aware of it when putting it on a trailer as using reverse to...

Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapses in Baltimore

Old wood boat from the 50s I restored. A good friend trained me on trailering and docking using his Mastercraft as he said my boat was so pretty he didn't want to see me mess it up learning. It's great to have friends like that to keep you from doing stupid stuff by being overconfident.;)

At low speed boats with propeller/rudder have rather poor control when you lose propulsion. Anybody who has had to operate a Mastercraft ski boat will tell you getting docked or on a trailer takes small short bursts of power at low speed to keep control. Losing propulsion on something like that...

Those are slow speed two stroke diesels so the smoke could be that or maybe another problem.
