      I'd say it depends whether you're backpacking in the city or the wild. In the wild a SR1911 loaded with hot Underwood would do the trick. :woot:

      Bought a Kel Tec Sub 2k.

      I had a Gen 2 in 40 cal. Had a lot of fun with it but need I say, sights, some sights, no sights. A fat man stands no chance to squeeze his face in tight enough to use them. Bye the way, that thing kicked like a mad mule.

      My 10mm is the Ruger 1911, I have the Tisas 1911 Duty 5" SS in 45 and love it. They make some great firearms.

      Current prices for Ruger Redhawks

      I have a stainless redhawk 7.5" 44mag I would be happy to let go for $725. Too many 44"s in the stable.
