      Firearm cleaning

I guess I'm lucky as I have a gun room in the house. They get cleaned in there on my gun cradle with a old rug under the muzzle to catch drippings. The room always smells nice . I finally tried using foaming bore cleaner on my Win 71 and that is the way to clean that one. I normally use Hoppes...

I have bought my last gun

Need has nothing to do with it. They are just fun to have and shoot if you so desire. At my age I have more deer rifles and guns than I have years left to be able to use. Have a great day. Jim

      Remington Arms

I'm sure all new guns are Proof Fired before being shipped. That would be for all gun makers. Have a great day. Jim

      Time to fish

At my age Ice Fishing is done for me. Spring and fall fishing on LM is cold enough for me. I have had ice freezing on reels and rod eyes out there. Have a great day. Jim

Hunting, up or down in Indiana?

Access is still the big item. Guns and ammo once in hand are not really that expensive unless out just shooting up ammo. Practice should be done with .22 LR. A hitch haul can be used to haul deer. The youth need to cut down on screen time and get outdoors. This is a parents job. They can't do...

      Garden guns again

I do have a Rem single shot smooth bore and it is a hoot to use around the house. I'm thinking of making a .22 pistol into a smoothie also. What a great tool to sit on the pation and take care of the chippers running around. Have a great day. Jim

21 years ago today (attn: chainsaw junkies)

I also have a dead wild cherry that is next to my deer hut that has to come down. Will get the nephews and tractor to get it down and moved. Will have to fall it in the field after crops are out. Not looking forward to this one. I used to cut a lot of wood for firewood but have gotten too old...

      HAVE YOU EVER WANTED...

Yes, and I have it. A Winchester 71 deluxe in .348 with the correct Lyman steel peep. I have not shot it much but do have the load worked up. Have a great day. Jim

What the media doesn’t want you to know about its mass-murder narrative

It has been becoming more than obvious over the last few years. They tried to hide it and did until the internet and a few reporters with some gonads reported the truth and the complete story. There are a few besides Tucker out there but the MSM does their best to keep them muzzled. Have a...

What newly introduced firearm are you most excited about?

I went to Indy also for the convention. It was great. The Springfield SA35 and Ruger SFAR are very interesting. Do I need them ? No' but interesting. Have a great day. Jim

      Fishing Lake Michigan

They have been fishing the piers at Mi City and along southern shoreline cities. They are getting some. We have been fishing the lake and it is still a little slow for us. Have a great day. Jim

      Reputable Taxidermist For African Trophies

When we went on a plains game safari to SA I had my taxidermy done there. They do them all the time and it is easier to ship finished rather than skins and horns. Your professional hunter will give you the best advice. If I wasn't so old I would go back in a heartbeat. Have a great day. Jim

Do I need a 350 Legend for deer?

What does need have to do with it. Just saying when it comes to firearms. Have a great day. Jim

What is your deer hunting load out for this weekend?

After using the .375 Marlin for the last 4 years I left it in the safe and got the 1.6; .358 Grant out. It did it's job as usual. Have a great day. Jim
