      Burner Phones

Gotcha. The movies make it look much easier. No, I’m not that ignorant.

      Burner Phones

Sorry for my ignorance, but can the card be activated through an automated system. Simply by installing the card into a phone? I understand it can’t be given the old phone number without the help of the carriers customer service.

      Burner Phones

I get what you are saying for a general spare or backup plan. But, if your phone is at the bottom of the lake how are you contacting your carrier? I’m thinking about what I would do if in an emergency situation either myself or someone else needed help. How would I contact help. Assuming no...

What have you done this week to prep? PART II

That’s completely awesome. The best advice I can give you is cut the card up. That’s the only way to insure it doesn’t get used again.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m 38 or live under a rock, but I had to google who that was.

      Propane Shop Heater

Plumbing Contractor and HVAC Master Mechanical here. That kit isn’t going to flow enough gas for the hanging unit heater. Setting another tank outside the shop and plumbing it into the heater is no problem if you use the right equipment.

      Hand Warmers

I was changing out the bags in the wife’s car tonight. As I was ensuring they had everything in them, I got to wondering. What is the effective life of the air activated hand warmers? I didn’t open one up to test yet. They were new last year. What is everyone’s experience.

      Plumbing question

Not what you want to hear, but you’re going to have to cut the copper and do it again. Anything you try may work for a while, but will eventually fail. I had to run into town so I stopped by the shop for the picture. Double check your rough in valve. The great thing about Delta is they only make...

      ISO Plumber Greenwood area

Moen takes a cartridge puller. Delta just takes a flat screwdriver if it’s being difficult. Assuming you got the retainer ring removed.

      NYC Trip

Heading out to NYC this Friday for a long weekend. The wife and I are taking our daughter to see Wicked for her 16th birthday. I plan on leaving the vehicle in New Jersey and taking the train into the city. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to NYC myself. Does anybody have any tips or...

      HVAC Question

For a condenser to operate you need two legs L1 & L2 each leg to ground is 120v and when combined are 240v. It will not operate with two feeds on the same leg. The compressor and condenser fan motor are both 240v.
