      Is this GB parts auction for IMPD parts?

      That’s one of the gen 3s that were issued after the merge, with that low of a serial number. They were only out for a couple years before they upgraded to the gen 4s. Something to do about complaints of jamming with weapon lights attached, if memory serves.

      Recommendations for budget 22lr bolt action.

      The mark ll magazines will not work in an Anschutz sporter without a lot of cutting. It can be done with a dremel. I did a few several years ago and have not had the first problem with three out of four. The fourth was the reason I use a dremel sparingly.

      Question for the rimfire folks

      I’ve had an Anschutz 1712 for about 10 years. It didn’t take much work to get it shooting better than I ever will. With money as no object, I’d look at a t bolt through the custom shop.

      I’ve had a 1712 for a number of years. It’s given me some great groups and has been very consistent over the years. The magazines are stupid expensive. You can get wisner 5 round mags from brownells that work with slight modification for a third of the price.

      Need my hand held re: buying a Garand from the CMP

      Unless they changed the rules, I think all I needed was the police ID about five years ago. Registered and picked up a nice rusty Kimber .22 before they ran out. Might bring an fop card but I don’t think I needed it.
